Here's Crusader: No Remorse, or "What happens when Boba Fett says 'You know what? Fuck the Empire'." OK, fine, it has nothing to do with Star Wars, but still. It's an awesome game, with some great music. It's a lot like Doom, only with a little more thought involved, like being able to use the enviroment to murder your foes in various ways.

I have the Saturn version of that but have never really played it much, I probably need to dig it out!

As far I can think of this is the Jaguar's only isometric game:

Rogue Trooper

There was a GBA version well underway, by then newbie developers In-Cubus, but work stopped near the end as they could'nt find a publisher.

Never did hear of it again, so guess it sadly went unfinished?.

I thought you said that the devs for Power Drive Rally considered that game to have an isometric viewpoint too?

I don't believe this game has been posted.  This is Captain Sky Hawk for the NES.

Bit of triva:

Mike Montgomery had said they'd have loved to release a Bitmap Brothers Retro Compiliation on PS2, Xbox etc but they could'nt find a publisher willing to handle it, crying shame as a whole new generation could have been introduced to likes of Cadaver, Gods, Chaos Engine, Speedball etc.

Chalk up another...what could have been...

Some Spindizzy action for you :-

Spindizzy (C64): Title Screen and Gameplay

On the C64.  Admittedly, I don't think that isometric and filled-in 3D were the C64's forté really.  You'll notice the flick screen scrolling(I think that was in other ports of the game).  It looks okay.  I'll post up a version of it for the Apple II below :-

Spindizzy for the Apple II

The "sequel" Spindizzy Worlds is below:-

Spindizzy Worlds (SNES): Comparison Clip 1/2

The SNES version.  Interesting how the flick screen scrolling is still being used.  More colourful, but the same principle gameplay style.

Spindizzy Worlds (Amiga): Ramp Run & Gargoyle

The Amiga version.

Now for something completely different - Shadowlands on the Amiga :-

Shadowlands - Level 3 Secret Wall (Amiga).avi

It's a sort of isometric Japanese style RPG game.

Frostbite (Atari 2600) gameplay

Always loved VCS frostbite and its isometric style of play.

TrekMD

I had completely forgotten about that 2600 title!  Thanks for reminding me of it!

Here is a Speccy game that I remember getting on a Your Sinclair cover tape back in the day:

Hydrofool for the ZX Spectrum 128

Have you played that game yourself, sloan?  I can't say I had seen it before.

I can't believe we haven't mentioned Snake Rattle & Roll actually, it's another great game by Rare that started off on the NES and was later converted to the Mega Drive, I have the latter version - very good game.

I have it in my vast collection. Does that count?  :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" />

Never have heard of a Genesis/Mega Drive port before. Now, how do I find ebay...
