Yes I make them, I used to make a patch lead a while back but found them too labour intensive, this method is slightly quicker and the soldering has no chance of wearing out as it does not flex.

You can post in the FB if you like, that would be very kind of you, I want to make enough to buy that Divide interface!  :D

Ebay is quite dear for this sort of stuff and I can see why!
I really have tried to sell them cheap, there is a good looking twin adapter for 9.99 inc postage- I would like to know where they get their leads from, they have pre moulded plugs!

Hi Carl, any plans to put more of these up on Ebay or can I get one direct if I Paypal you?

Received mine recently, haven't had chance to try it yet but the adaptor is neat and feels like it should stand the test of time.  :D

Thanks to all of you that have already placed order for the adapter, It is meeting with very positive feedback.

As I sell these on Ebay, I have to pay for each one that I sell, this price has to be loaded on to the selling price, at the moment UK buyers enjoy free p+p soon on my Ebay listing I will have to charge 50p P+P to cover the final selling fee.

However, if you click the link in the auction page you can purchase one from my site for £4.90 AND get free P+P in the UK

I have had feedback that confirms that there are other types of adapter that do not fit Port 1 on a speccy +2 so  please be advised.

of you can go direct

https://sites.google.com/site/joydapter/

you can see my feedback there, but I will also respond here in this thread or by PM.

Carl.

Can you use a Mega Drive controller with one of these? If not, any chance you could make one that does?

I was trying this a while ago with my +2 and +2A and a different joystick adapter I had. I think it worked on the +2, but not the +2A. I was going to look up the pinout and figure something out but never got round to it.

I still haven't got the stereo mod working properly on my +2A and I can't use the DivIDE on the +2, so they're not set up at the moment. But if I could at least play games on the +2A with a Mega Drive controller I could use it for now.

It should work fine, I sold one on ebay as a result of the same question. It should work U,D,L,R one of A B C will work, start and select will not.

I have some but none on eBay at the moment. But I am happy to send you one or two, will do a special deal. 8)

When playing a game, which type of joystick should I choose? I'm assuming Sinclair but haven't managed to get a game to work with joystick yet.
