Seen as everyone wanted to see more versus threads I thought it was only right to add a handheld battle between these big rivals!

This games look good on both but the music and sound on the Lynx is better, so Lynx it is.  :)

This is a Draw for me, The Lynx has much more vibrant colours, the Gamegear the better graphics...

Its quite close this one I think but for me the Lynx just edges it - the graphics are more detailed and the music is better.

Before I watched either vid I would've said the Lynx.  After watching I'm not so sure.  I think i prefer the look of the GG.  Does anyone know if the GG vid is taken from an emulator?  There are no scan lines and the pic and I guess the graphics would deteriorate a little if there were.  I definitely prefer the music from the LYNX.  I don't really remember playing either so can't comment on gameplay.

I'll say the GG edges it, but only by the width of a LYNX cartridge.

There is no doubt its taken from an emulator as there is no easy way to film the actual handheld

...Er, is the frame rate on the Lynx version that bad on actual hardware? Because if it is, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to go with the Game Gear version. I will admit the Lynx version looks a lot closer to the arcade, but for me, I'd say the playablity and speed matter more.

No, its also being emulated and Lynx emulation isn't perfect - it tends to frame skip a lot (the Lynx can do 70FPS)

Shadowrunner

I have to go with the Game Gear. I think the graphics are better but I will agree that the Lynx has the better sound.

Very split decision on the last game so let's look at another one!

It's the classic Atari arcade game Klax

Yep, the Lynx really delivers a total butt whipping to the Game Gear here

Mire Mare

Oh dear!  I'm amazed the Game Gear is so bad  :o

The Lynx and KLAX fit like hand in glove and easily win this round.
