I voted for Ms. Pac-Man myself, just hadn't commented on the thread.  ;)

I voted for Pac-Man Junior. It was a hard decision. I have been playing Pac-Land on the Lynx and I think I like it better than the TG-16 version. Pac-Mania is awesome on the Nes and Genesis/Mega Drive. Super Pac-Man is also a favorite of mine along with Ms. Pac-Man. I have had the Coleco tabletop Pac-Man since it came out so it was played over the 2600 version. Later played the 5200 and Nes versions of Pac-Man. Both very good versions. But it is firsts for me.

All this leads to first impressions and that was on the 2600 with the Jr. Pac-Man (I have played the arcade on Mame), but I think they did such a good job with the 2600 version that it is my favorite.

I have the Xbox live arcade compilation disc with Pac-Man Championship Edition. Just my opinion, but I feel it is a pretty good update.

It's an incredibly spread out poll, no clear winner here!

Thread bump, but talk of sequels in other threads got me thinking on just how many Pac-Man games there have been:

Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, Jr Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Professor Pac-Man, Pac-Land, Pac-Man World, Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-In-Time, Pac-Man 2 The New Adventures, Pac-Attack, Pac-Mania, Pac-Man:Adventures In Time, Ms Pac-Man:Maze Madness, Ms Pac-Man:Quest For The Golden Maze, Pac-Man World 2, Pac-Man All-Stars, Pac-Man Fever, Pac-Man C.E Edition, Pac-Man World Rally, Pac-Pix, Pac'N' Roll, Pac-Man Pinball Advance, Pac-Man World 3, Pac-Man Vs.....

Pac-Man is a franchise that seems to be undying.  :)  It just keeps generating more and more games of different types.

There's also a new 'Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures' cartoon on the Disney XD channel... and a game based on the cartoon will be released at the end of October.

I never enjoyed playing the original Pac-Man all that much, to be honest. Ditto Ms. Pac-Man.

That said I enjoyed playing a few Pac-Man clones, most notably this tabletop colour LCD game an old school friend had back in the day -

(Although the release he owned was named Ogre Eater, iirc)

Of the variants and spin-offs I thought Pac-Land and Pac-Mania were reasonably good. The former because it was quite innovative and because it did things Super Mario Bros. did before Nintendo's game that gets all the credit. The latter because the 'isometric' viewpoint worked surprisingly well.

However, these days I own Pac-Man CE (iOS) which works incredibly well with touchscreen controls and the sublime Pac-Man CE DX (PS3) and Pac-Man CE DX+ (PC). I consider this current Pac-Man game to be one of the finest videogames ever made... which bemuses me a little considering I never particularly enjoyed playing the original Pac-Man. Go figure!

Pacman Vs. seriously needs to be added to the poll list - a work of sheer genius - and must have kicked off the whole re-imagining of the game that has been going on this last few years.

It was a freebie too - in some cases free to pick up off the counter - but was in the main supplied as a bonus disc.

You need 4 players and 3 Wavebirds though - unless you want to weave some sort of tapestry with controller cables.

Hard to show on youtube due to the use of the GBA as a controller with its screen..
MarioPartyCrashers - Pac-Man VS.

Pacman Arrangement is a really nice game too...

Super Pac Man gets my vote. I always loved the big food/fruit in rows and locked areas that need keys. Plus, when he turns super, Pac Man turns gigantic and is unstoppable. Something no other Pac Man game had.

TrekMD

Super Pac-Man was an interesting departure from the original formula while still retaining the familiarity of the original game.  I never played it much in the arcade but I do enjoy that version of Pac-Man just as well.  Thankfully, I have some nice home ports of it.  ;)

As I said earlier in the topic, I was only including the retro titles as this is the retro forum  :3:

Nice poll and some interesting comments. I enjoyed the debate about what is/isn't 'retro' but I won't start that all over again ;)
For the record, Alien verses Predator on the Atari Jaguar holds a Guinness World Record!

To remove any awkwardness, I have mesothelioma. I don’t seek sympathy, just acceptance. Thanks

Changed my vote.

I am guessing Pac n Pal gets no votes because it is so hard to come by. I have it on a Namco plug-n-play unit and it is not too bad a game. Somewhat weird with the pal concept though.
