Indeed. We've seen this kind of thing before in the Jag scene. Lots of talk and grandiose claims that come to nothing. Here's hoping this proves to be otherwise but some of the signs aren't good, imo.

I think it's best if homebrews are just kept tight lipped until they are ready for release. Too many expectations get raised, too many people want this and that added or changed whatever. Jag homebrews are especially ridiculous most of the time anyway, the majority of them shouldn't even be released at all.

Box art is the last thing I'll do for a game. It is not the first thing I'll do for a game. At best this would be character concept art for the actual game characters until it's completed. I did not do any box art for MightyFrog or GORF Plus, the reason behind this is appealing since things are constantly changing when creating a game.
