Watch this space!

Now I am back from Play Expo I will be getting some work done on this.

Pixel Nation Issue 3 with the Jaguar CD article has been delayed a little (was due this month) after they lost their chief designer.

Don´t worry mate, I think you´re working hard to discover more unreleased games for the Jaguar. Be water my friend!  ;)

Just to let you all know a very big Imagitec Design article should be making into Retro Gamer in the near future . . . .

Very cool.  I like his attitude toward the Jaguar and I love this:  "A lot of games were only using the 68K and a little of the "GPU" and used the DSP for sound" according to Nallet; lending credence to the notion that it was developer incompetence and not hardware concessions that made development for the Jaguar difficult.

I was also quite surprised by his comparison of the Jaguar to the PS3!

Definately, it's a real shame we never got to see Stellar X in any form. I have actually heard the PS3 comparison quite a few times now.

Quote from: "zapiy"Comparison in what way?

The PS3 like the Jaguar uses multiple custom processors (or processor cores as they are in the PS3) that must all be used in tandem to get the most out of it. This makes them much harder to code than a system that has a single CPU running the whole show. This means you get a lot of lazy ports that don't use the machine to it's full ability. There are lots of Jaguar games, over half its library in fact, that barely touch the custom processors except for displaying the graphics or playing sound. Especially the 16-bit ports that just use the Motorola 68000 chip, that was used as a CPU in the Mega Drive, Amiga and Atari ST, as a CPU in the Jaguar when it is only there as a slave chip to help with math and reading the controllers. The PS3 has a lot of Xbox360 ports that don't bother to use its larger storage capability, improved video or superior graphics capabilities.

The parallels are actually quite clear to see.

A couple of the models used in Space Junk:

Rogue Trooper

Space Junk...now there was a game i often seemed to see mentioned in previews, but each time it was on a different system.

Going off memory...Atari Falcon (think it was in Gamesmaster Magazines feature about Commodore A1200 VS Atari Falcon, might even have been on TV show as well), then it seemed to pop back up on Mega CD and now Jaguar.
