I heard about that! Very clever indeed!  :1:

TrekMD

Yep, now everyone is hacking every home version to do the same thing!

Here is another version of Donkey Kong for the 2600 that was started by iesposta.  You can check out more pictures and some binaries here:  DK 2600 Jumpman.

Thanks TrekMD! This how I always pictured the 2600 version when it was released new.

Nice work there!  :16:

Will be interesting to see how this compares to the other version being made.

TrekMD

I don't know if he's going to continue working on this one but his effort so far looks great.

Does look good and like Laird said it will be very interesting to see where this goes and how it compares.

Development on this version has stopped, I believe.  The other version is still moving forward, though.  Both attempts are quite impressive, however.

That's a shame, did he say why?

He mostly makes demos and doesn't usually finish the games.  :(

All the versions look good standing still. Disappointed with the Vic-20 version. Never tracked a copy down and if I ever find the cart it may not get played much. lol!

I do play the Atari computer version the most. My favorite always will be the Coleco tabletop version. Lot of memories and when my friends were playing the 2600, old ice was taking his DK action everywhere. Ha Ha! Both had just 2 screens but the tabletop was portable as long as the batteries held. I still have the power supply with the hollow C batteries. Ok the batteries are missing but the power supply still works. Lol!

TrekMD

I think I got to play that tabletop version once.  It got frustrated with hit!  LOL
