Do you play new games as well as retro games?

Hmm, OK.  I didn't realize it was limited that way.

Quote from: "hamie96"I own a Vita and tbh, even with PS+, I rarely use it. It's simply too big and has very limited space (8gb memory card) leaving me with feeling like I don't have many options for when I do bring it with me.

I love my Vita, it's the perfect handheld for people who like retro and modern games. I have a 32 gb card in mine and I have tons of stuff on it from PS1, PSP, TG16, Arcade, and Vita games. As long as you stay away from downloading retail Vita games it can really hold a lot. Yeah it is big but I like that about it as I just play it at home. I guess if you are using it as a portable system that you take with you that could be a disadvantage.

If you are thinking of getting one you should look for an original model that has the better screen :113: Also the memory cards go up as high as 64 gb, but they are very expensive! For me that's the only real negative thing about the system.

Thanks for the input, Shadowrunner.  Are the original models available at retailers or only through places like Ebay?

I do both, mainly retro games but some new stuff too, we have a Wii U, 3DS, Xbox One and recently got a GearVR for my new game fixes!
I used to own lots of retro consoles but lack of space and at times money meant i ended mainly going the emulation route now, i have a nVidia shield, hdd hooked upto my tv that does all upto Dreamcast emulation wise.

I've seen the original model on Amazon so they are still out there, but I would imagine if you walked into a store you would only find the new system. If it's the first one it should say it has an OLED screen, where as the new one has a LCD screen.

When I was looking around last christmas, I couldn't really find an original Vita for a decent price. The new Vita isn't bad at all (it has a better battery life and the screen isn't nearly as bad as people once though). If you can't find the original model, I'd recommend getting the Slim Vita.

Looks like the original is available on Amazon for $200 new or $150 refurbished.
