That looks spot on to me! If the shielding is heavy enough, which I didn't know about before rush6432 mentioned it, they should work great. Just awesome zapiy :D

@zapiy Not sure to be honest about the cat5. Assuming you can utilize the cabling with enough wires maybe? but most or people using it will have their console very close to a computer for reset purposes anyway.

zapiy

I agree, i think we have a resource at work to buy these cables in already created at a tenth you paid @Saturn I need to look into though.

Well, one or two I can make for you.. Anymore then I may as well look into bulk order some.

I'd like to get 7 total but whichever is more convenient for you. I'd take one or two no prob.
But, not sure what the demand is for them these days with the Skunkboard out there so buying in bulk might not work out. Could have a ton of product on your hands lol.
Nobody wants to lose money! :D

Saturn

I can make the rest of them out of parallel cables and f/f adapters.
Easy money.
Could name those as two of a kind "zapiy specials" all the way from the UK. Be as rare as the working Virtual setups for the Jag :D

Well the reality is that not everyone has a skunkboard, and they are pricey to obtain for most these days ($250+ usually). New users are buying jaguars and dont have a way to play homebrews aside from making their own CDs to load them into ram and even then thats another costly jump to get a jag cd.

So bjl is very much still a viable option assuming the user has a true parallel port on a computer (usb stuff doesnt work i dont believe as it wont emulate an IRQ?)

Saturn

It would be great if there was enough demand. I just don't hear much about BJL anymore on forums. I can't speculate with zapiy's money lol.
I'd be happy if he went full on into this (and made some money for the efforts). Not sure how to go about advertising the resource when no one ever mentions needing them.

zapiy

I would be more than happy to worth something out @rush6432

Well, no one ever mentions it strictly because the first thing that everyone says is to get a skunkboard and then people quickly realize how much they go for and how they arent made anymore and havnt been any runs since the sillyventure run i believe.

So with that being said, its still a viable way to upload homebrew but, not ideal if you can get a skunkboard as it makes bjl useless at that point. Take a look at yourself though saturn, you just bought a few adapters yourself so that says something about there being some sort of a market for them, otherwise MTG wouldnt offer them at all.

So far however, im not in need of any adapters just yet but whenever i decide to push some BJL carts up to the site eventually which might be a small initial amount ill probably need a few cables as an option.

Saturn

Me personally, I'm loving BJL and thinking it's the way to go. Especially w/ unmodified Jag options available.
Hoping everyone out there is able to take advantage of it and starting this thread was an attempt to log resources in a disappearing market. It's an incredible gift Bastion Schick gave us way back and I intend to make full use of it in the absence of Skunkboards. Great thing that's happening here with all this information :)
