Wouldn't it be great to be able to use all those aging Amiga disks again?
Maybe the original Amiga is a bit big and video quality not so good... A smaller version, with modern connections would be awesome, isn't it?. That's what we've done: take modern technology and make it work with good old floppies.

Yes I've seen this..but Personally I think it's pointless..you have emulation on nearly all platforms, you've the MIGGY in a box, and real Amiga doing the same via SD add-on, I truly wish them luck with, especially if they got over the mark so they may include other platform in here, now that would be worth investing in..shame they presumed to stick with a single platform from the outset.

I think its an interesting project but not one I can invest in, I do like the idea but think I'm better off investing in my original Amiga than this, sorry:-

Pretty pointless if you ask me too.

I agree sound like my atari computer project cancelled a while ago. Economically a desaster specially in europe (weee, rohs). Remember the raspberry is a component not a enduser device so you are responsible to register, paying dump compensation if you sell to endusers. Only worth if you offer different personalities to get the amount of people for orders and the compensation payments. But if you offer different personalities you need different interfaces like cartridge slots, sio bus etc..... Sorry in europe nearly impossible these days. May be in usa?

i like the idea. Sounds like a nice device to position near the TV :-)

This one is also a nice device (and you can buy it already):

The emulation on the Retron is crap though and it won't play all games.

I wonder has this fund raiser died under the private funding ? As pointless as it seems to allot of us, it I think was being created for the noob, that left the scene years ago and now could get the chance to have a go again? I dunno, but I know the guy behind it really believes in it. I've heard and seen nothing since.

Perhaps they need to go through Kickstarter instead?

Shouldn't they have gone through Kickstarter first if their plan was to return the money if it wasn't fully funded?

Funnily enough, I just got an update on this project (I follow their twitter account).

Apparently the first batch of prototypes is ready, and the first units are already sold to selected backers on Indiegogo.

I'm surprised it actually went through. Personally, I assume 99% of IndieGogo projects are just people looking to make free money.
