Now that I think of it.  The O.P. blanking his replies could simply mean he couldn't deliver on his project.  The only cost effective dev solution that may actually come out is from this guy:

I don't know why this hardware is the reason he left. Skunkboard has been around sometime and its a good thing someone does a rerun for a decent price.

Did rush invest lots of $$$ to make some boards that people ordered and not wanted anymore ? Would be strange ... I thought he was reusing old carts with a new rom on it ofcourse he should have some costs but I can't imagine he has more the 200 boards ordered like the people who build the skunkboard.

The bjl solution is nice, but bjl is little outdated and didn't work very well for some people like me, thats why I got and Alpine and later skunk. I had lots of transmission faults on bjl so loading some code needed to be done 3 to 4 times before it did work. I had this with code bigger then 1MB

But can you post a picture of the cartridge and inside of the cartridge ?

Sure thing. I'll dig it out when I have 5 mins. You are correct - I ordered a bunch of boards from B & C and donated the rest to Jeff, who desoldered the original EPROM's and replaced them with some new 27c160's with the BJL bootcode

He can deliver, he just doesn't care to. All of the projects we have are real and can be finished or continued. He is very busy in the real world with a new home, new job, and a kid on the way. And I asked that we both take a few months off, simply because my personal life has taken a turn financially and very busy as well.

That being said, I think he removed his posts (based on our previous phone conversation) because he is just tired of forums and the petty drama. He is also mildly offended about certain posts being edited or omitted. And he would rather share any dev info on a personal site. A place where his freedom of speech goes unhindered. Kieren was just another excuse to be disappointed in how things are handled on any forum that he frequents. Granted Kieren seems to have trouble follow him wherever he goes. I firmly believe that his openness to the public, and unwavering confidence when it comes to sticking up for himself or others is what makes him a target. (Well that and the fact that every forum is infested with fanboys of, shill accounts of, members of, and junior members of reboot.)

I'm sure this post will be edited or omitted to spare everyones "innocent and virgin" eyes. But that is part of the same sad problem. Its like pre-crime. Stop censoring posts! Wait and see if it becomes a problem to others. Don't assume.

Kieren will be missed both here, and any other forums. I cant speak for Jeff or others if they are staying or going. Myself, I will probably just post occasionally or lurk. But my contributions are (as agreed with my partner Jeff) going to be reserved for a yet-to-be-named personal site. In case anything personal or copy written is abused by others we will have more control over its usage and removal.

Revisionist history doesnt work well and never did. Shawn explained why i left, and i left another post here on RVG explaining it exclusively which you tried to paint as a rage-quite somehow. I posted my grievances and explained my reasons for leaving but apparently you either dont like my reasons or don't read... you just assume and spread mis-information like the rest but then say its your "own opinion" yet try to keep pushing it. Just like the digs seen here against other users you've done recently.

 Ive seen you do this many a time through Atari age as well as here and even OUYA forums and wherever you have signed up unfortunately (many other forums that i happened to have been on as well unfortunately)

As for the cost effective BJL cart, i did deliver, avick has a copy in his hands...He was the only one that responding at the time with real interest about this project and this happened quite a while ago.

My guess is you continue to make digs at people because you are a bit dissapointed in yourself that you're lacking in an area severely where you want to accel? (ie making games...) Angry so you try to point the frustration and anger to someone else... Also its quite a classic sign to see someone immediately default to insults and bashing and have a majority of their interaction be that, Something you seem to do just about every forum your on it seems within every single post. Quick search on any of these forums shows you trying to make digs and troll away.

Your name is all too fitting, you might want to consider taking some meds seriously.

Can't say i agree with the tone of the post Jeff but you are angered and i can understand how your passion comes across..

Loon has done nowt wrong from our point of view and i feel we all comprehend the written word very differently.

Guys, please settle down.  Personal attacks do not help anyone and they are also against forum rules (Forum Rules).  These are rules everyone who joins a forum agrees to abide with.  I realize there is anger involved but it always helps to take a step back and think a bit before posting something out of anger.

Not going to lie, when you start going on about every forum being the same and then talk about how you have problems with every Forum then at some point yoiu have to stop and ask yourself, is it actually the forums or is it you.

Laird was a decent guy, but his atari goggles just did not allow him to see things evenly sometimes. I will actually miss him.
