I just discovered this and thought I'd share it:  GG Monthly - Issue #1 - The Monthly GameGavel Digital Magazine...

[align=center:13e6yo1p]The GG Monthly is a new digital magazine we are testing out and we hope it takes off with your help.  We have a small but growing team of writers creating original content and stuffing it all into a digital gaming mag that will continue monthly if you all like it.  Our first issue runs just a bit under 30 pages but future issues will be pushing 50 pages![/align:13e6yo1p]

Very hard to judge this soley based an a bunch of advertisements from previous game adverts, where are the articles in the preview? The intro doesn't cut it either, very silly to do this, mustn't be as good if they using background as a plate image and old advertisements.

They need to actually show an article with text and imagery from the magazine.

Feel free to email them and tell them that.  They provide their email address on the page I link to.  :)

okay I've shot them off them an email, see what happens, as I said, I'd like to see some writing style coupled with the presentation to if it's worth getting or not, what they have up there atm is nothing but a bunch of images.

It's their first issue and I'm sure they are looking for feedback to make improvements.  Hopefully, you hear back from them.

I like the snippet about Cobra Triangle. Nice to read about other folks memories and how they compare to now.

TrekMD

Well, I just decided to take the plunge and spend the $2 to get this.

I know I'm digging up an old thread, but was the verdict on this Trek? Was it any good? Was it just okay or was it meh?

I was meaning to follow up on this thread, but I'm only a month and a bit late :)

triverse

The link is now dead.  I figure they scrapped this in favor of starting "Retro" and following the Kickstarter dream.

TrekMD

The link no longer works.  I don't know if that's because they no longer have issue 1 available or if, as triverse has said, they are just putting all their effort into the new Retro magazine.

Insofar as my opinion of the first issue, it was not very impressive.  A lot of dead space on many pages and it was not what I had hoped.  Can they make it better?  Sure.  We have to see what happens moving forward.

They may have decided to cancel this given the new magazine they got funded on Kickstarter.
