Nintendo Chat / Underappreciated GBA games
May 04, 2017, 10:12:12 AM
Personally I don't have a lot GBA games but one I really like is called STAR X. The best to describe it is Star Fox for GBA. What other games do you guys think are not talked about often?

I'm not sure what the clip was for but I think the thinner cartridge would fit in Japan mega drive so maybe it was to save money and not pay a plastic molder twice. Just a guess there.

A game I think is underappreciated is James Pond 2. I have it in my collection. I never see much talk about it. It was made by a UK development and was successful here in Europe. I'm guessing it did not fare well in North America or Japan is why no talks about it.

Bloody roar looks like a good one. Might take a look at one. :)

Nintendo Chat / Re: Underappreciated N64 Games.

I think flying dragon for n64 gets overlooked. I unfortunately do not have my 64 anymore but flying dragon was the fighting game that I got bought for by my parents when I was young. It was two games in one. One was a realistic fighter in 3d like tekken or virtua fighter (which for some reason had a 2d mode also :/) and another which was a 2d fighter with cartoonish characters. I honestly thought it was great. To me it plays exactly like virtua fighter in 3d mode. I enjoyed the SD mode but I preferred the 3d option as I preferred more realistic at the time. Here is a review of the game I found on YouTube. It focuses more on the Cartoon part of the game.

I'm looking at buying a new GameCube fighting game. I already have smash bros but as far I can tell the best ones are CapCom vs Snk or Soulcalibur 2. Does anyone have any suggestions or hidden gem worth a go? I don't like mortal kombat or dragon ball z so would be grabbing them.

I've been playing the Lion King for sega mega drive/genesis. Not sure if this really counts as retro but been playing street fighter alpha 3 on GBA and got my Wii out and been playing super smash bros brawl.
