Would you be ok for us to release the rom then?

Would like to do it as part of the launch of bitmapsoft.co.uk

That would be very cool!  If you could credit me (Jason Santuci) for the game development and provide a link to my company that would be enough.  I recently started the web page over but the URL is working :)  http://gemintronic.com/

Feel free to use both the original game and the one I sent after Hozer couldn't physically manufacture the first.

Itch.io might be a good free way to offer a digital download of RVG Blast.

If you just want games that can be run from the web browser Javatari is very cool.  The only drawback being anyone can download the ROM pointed at in the URL without paying.

Good to see you around mate, real life gets to us all and sorry about your mum, I lost mine recently and its never easy, just a case of cracking on, and funny you should ask, I have someone testing it on harmony and they said this.

QuoteTried on my Harmony and it works the same.. I'm just confused on somethings.. If I go to the left of the wall it kicks me back to the center. The walls tend to get thicker sometimes, etc... I assume the idea is to shot the aliens and avoid any other object?

I have invited him here, should be along shortly.

The first RVG Blast had deadly walls that killed you and reset your progress.  The walls take up more and more space on-screen as you progress.

Since Randy (Hozer Video) had trouble making the carts I made the other RVG Blast with the checkerboard background.  That one has no walls - just monsters and bonus objects.

Here's a pretty rough first time playthrough:

Combination of writers block, mother dying and various other things have stifled any progress.

However, a fellow interested in manufacturing and publishing Atari 2600 games in Europe got in contact with me.  You should see if he can successfully make RVG Blast carts.

His name is Roberto and goes by vcsrocks on AtariAge.

I'm working on a contract for a sega genesis shmup.  Afterwards I could take the engine and re-imagine RVG Blast.

Should we move this to a different console?  Are sega genesis cart makers more available in Europe?

Did you guys find a good cart maker on your side of the pond?  I have a friend from SAIDAI games (Super Trash Truck) that could use such a craftsman.

Definitely very, very cool Greyfox!  Thank you for your work.

The colors are surreal enough to be agreeable on NTSC and PAL.  I don't know how the TVs over there take it on real hardware though.  I'd definitely try it on a flash cart before mass production.

Hey guys. I've got access to get a few pcbs made and potentially 3d printed cartridge shells. the rom or bin file is only 2k right?  The AA pcbs are nothing more than a copy of the open-source ones floating around online.

This RVG Blast is a completely new game.  4k.  I figured that would be the least expensive / simplest option.

I had a game years ago that used the bones of this.  Made it to cart without problem.

I just don't have a PAL TV to test this on.

This is RVG Blast 2 if the original becomes too tedious to deal with.

Should work NTSC and PAL60.  Test it out.

You are the long thing with eyes.

Collect happy faces and hearts.
Shoot enemy ships for points.
Shoot death face for points - shooting death face extends your body
Points awarded may go up the longer your ship is
DO NOT shoot happy faces or hearts.  There may be a score penalty

Thank for letting me in again.

Yeah.  If Albert isn't able to reproduce the cart I will find another game to become RVG Blast.
