Sega Chat / Re: The Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Thread

I must say i find super g+g
Added Ghouls & Ghosts to my MD collection. In really nice condition too.

I've read this is a bit more manageable than the ridiculously hard Super G&G on SNES. I play that on PS2 using the Capcom Collection which removes the slowdown that is evident on SNES.

However no G&G game is a walkover. I still play the original Ghosts & Goblins - usually on Wii's VC - but I remember playing it in the arcade too. G&G on MD is tough - have go to level 2 though which I haven't managed on Super G&G!!!!

on the saturn capcom generations 2 disc to be so much easier than both the other games. I can get to level 4 pretty easily but struggle to get past level 2 on the others.

The controls just feel a bit sluggish compared to the saturn version, the ps2 is Japanese so no 50/60 hz problems. However it just feels off not sure why, maybe it is the emulation or just the difference between the  sharp controls of the saturn version  compared to the  ps2.

Just read through  here again for the 1st time in a while. Just wanted to say to TrekMD I recently bought  taito legends 2 for ps2 that has Elevator Action 2 on and it feels off so I'd  say the  saturn version is better. Also I forgot to say I have a 'this is cool' saturn which is  supposed to be  fairly rare. Also a 'super wonderboy super monster land' miss print on master system not sure about this but haven't seen any on eBay.

Trek its a really goodd old school action platformer with great animation and some really nice little touches,it's just a shame it's so expensivery though I'm sure it's on a taito compilation for og xbox and ps2.

Hello all it's been a while but I have a good few ntsc j saturn games that could be classed as rare (or just expensive) I'm not sure which. Stellar assault ss and elevator action returns are a couple.

Back again haven't had a chance to try the engine yet as it didn't arrive with an av cable and typically im at the other end of the uk as it arrived today. However that gives me something to look forward to when I get back along with pacland a game I've loved since playing at butlins as a nipper in the mid 80s. Shienryu is not what I was expecting but I guess I have been spoilt as my saturn shooter collection  is nearly complete. Also waiting for vampire hunter turning up as that only leaves 3 capcom vs 2d fighters to get, waiting for sf zero 3 at a good price is very frustrating. Anyhow peace all

Just received PRincess CRown and Capcon Generations 3
Only 2 needed to complete the  generations collection

Ha didnt get to post 2-5 as the dog jumped all over the laptop so here goes:
2 A full FM Towns marty collection
3 A full X68000 collection
4 Complete my ntsc-j Saturn collection (not a full collection but the games i would love that i have no chance of buying) such as Radiant Silvergun,Battle Garrega,Hyper Duel Mizubaku Daiboukan(Liquid Kids) and Street Fighter Zero 3.
5 A full PC Engine/super cd collection.
The chance of me ever getting any of these without winning the lottery is a fanciful notion but it certainly is nice to dream.

I think if i won the big one i would open my own private arcade to only be accessible to true lovers of old game stuff, goes without saying id also invite all uk based forumites to come and drink some beers and get lost in all the old games. As an added bonus id have to put a smoke machine in to complete the feeling of the old arcades(without the fag burns on the cabinets  :1:

Over the last couple of days ihave been playing Fantasy Zone on the Sega Ages Saturn version, damn good game and especially like the fact you can change the rapid fire settings in the extra options screen. Also been playing strikers 1945 2 also on the saturn and i think i prefer the original to it,then finished off last night playing ESWAT on the Ultimate megadrive collection and the arcade version of shinobi also on U.M.C.
