I'm no hardware hacker as the soldering job in the bottom right will show :)

I have built a second one where the soldering is a lot better though. I don't think a feeble 15W soldering iron was really ideal. That's my excuse, anyway.

The rest was easy - prebuilt SD image with the PiTFT drivers, installed RetroPie over the top. Unfortunately anything which uses the hardware graphics acceleration (e.g. anything SDL based, like most of the supplied emulators!) won't output via the PiTFT, which is a shame. AdvanceMAME doesn't though, so it works well.

Aside from this issue, of course!

Raspi config doesn't affect the PiTFT, unfortunately :(

I can't find anything in the emulator config files to choose screen mode. However, on games that do work I can change the settings within the emulator but only for that game. Which already works...

I don't know if this is better suited for the Pi thread or here, but I'll ask anyway...

I have a Pi with a PiTFT touch screen addon. This:

As you can see, I have some games working on it. Others come up with the error messages:

"Error setting the requested video mode"
"Unable to start video emulation"

I'm guessing this is because it can't fit in the detected monitor resolution (320x240). Pacland is 320x224 so works fine.

Anyone know how to force games to scale to fit?

This weekend I spent a while played the original Mega Man for the first time.

I'd played Mega Man X (also the for the first time) a few weeks ago and enjoyed it, and since the NES MM games are cheap on the Wii U VC at the moment it was rude not to pick some up. I've bought Mega Man II as well, which I'll make a start on soon.
