Homebrew Chat / Re: Jet Pilot Rising - New Super Nintendo Homebrew

I usually follow all the homebrew games released for the SNES, but this one for some reason got out of the radar. Actually it looks quite simple from the video, but maybe as the game advances it gets more complicated or complex, I dont know. Anyways is always good that new games appear for the SNES, specially as people improve and learn more tricks to code in the Super Nintendo. Right now there is a game on development for the Megadrive, Proyecto Antares, which is a Shoot em up wich lookd really good, and it would be amazing if these types of things could arrive to the SNES as well!

Probably this looks like the most "advanced" or quality-wise homebrew game for the SNES so far. Looks like the playability from the original is there, the graphics are quite neat, and the durability of the game will be longer than the one from other SNES homebrew games.
Looking forward to seeing this released, and hopefully someone could make a PAL cartridge, as Piko does with the NTSC of their games ;)

Managed to get the game in a cartridge and make it work in a PAL Super Nintendo to enjoy it in the real machine. The game is quite good, as a conversion from the arcade it improved some parts, like graphics and sounds (obvious, if we consider the capacities of the SNES :) ), and the fun is still there; so it is a good homage to the origins of Mario, a game which maybe does not have a long life, but for short goes or breaking records (as you progress in level, difficulty raises too) is really fun.

Indeed, if these releases by Piko worked in PAL SNES, I would buy most of their games.
Its nice to see that the Homebrew SNES scene has support, and probably that will encourage more people to write more games for the 16bit Nintendo console ;)

Hello all! :1: ) where this game was submitted :)
The entries regarding the compo are written in spanish as nobody from out of Spain has shown interest so far, but I could translate the entries as I did for the 1st compo.

Do you think I could announce this second edition here in the forums? I just registered here, I find the page very interesting (I usually write in the World of Spectrum forums ;) )
