Retro News & Chat / Re: What do you consider to be retro?

I think this is something that will be discussed for years to come. I think this really comes down to personal preference, ie when you were born. In a generation or two the Xbox 360 & PS3 will be considered as retro.

i usually say 10 year mark as a rule of thumb just to keep things simple for myself.

How expensive are those games, llayboy?

That's quite the price range!

Like I said it really depends on how lucky you are and obviously the condition of the games

I got my Dreamcast for Christmas after launch and I think it was so ahead of its time. Xbox Live and PSN have the Dreamcast to thank as the Dreamcast was the first console to dabble in the world of online gaming.

Would love to get a full Dreamcast collection but a lot of the games go for very high prices (ie Shenmue games)

Hi Josh

Welcome to the forums! I've subscribed to your magazine and I have downloaded issue 1. From what I have read so far it's a great magazine which I will look forward to every time I finish an issue.

Keep up the good work dude!

For me it would be Sonic 2. Such a great game that has so much replay value. It was my first game for the Mega Drive and it's one I'll never get tired of

Thank you for the list. I'll check them out and see how the UK prices tend to be. Might treat myself to one or two retro games next month. Gotta think of Christmas and all

Need to get an Action Replay cart for my Saturn. Only have 4 Saturn games so the collection needs to grow!

If you have any genres you would want recommendations for, feel free to ask.  I could also throw together a sort of "Best value for money" list if that's something you're interested in, as well.  The Saturn is my favorite console, so it's no bother to help someone else get deeper into the library.

That would be great if you could help me out. I'm pretty open when it comes to games so give me your best :-)

Hi guys

A while ago I started a new show as part of my production company Time for Toast Productions called Retro Zone.

This is the show where anything retro gets looked at. Whether that be games, music, movies, board games etc. Anything is possible on this show.

If this sounds like something you are interested in watching then please check out my channel at http://www.youtube.com/ukretrozone

As always if you had any comments or feedback regarding the show please let me know in the comments here or on the videos.

Thanks for taking the time to read this :-)

Need to get hold of this. Used to love playing it years ago on my (whispers) emulator

I'm sorry, an em...what?   :21:

It's a mystical thing that I don't really dabble in too much anymore. Only for arcade nowerdays

Love the Atari 2600 such a great console. Where the games lack in graphics they always have addictive fun gameplay. One of my faves has to be Demon Attack
