Buying a launch MCD for £270 when i was on low wages and having to wait ages for the games that really used the hardware to arrive (Batman Returns, Terminator S.E, Final Fight S.E, Thunderhawk etc).

Selling SOR 3 MD+Snatcher MCD for £5 each!.

Selling my Jaguar, along with signed copy of Tempest 2000.

Personal fav.of mine, 1st picked up by chance on A8 (Box looked something different), soon became hooked, so as soon as i jumped ship to C64, had to get it on that.

Paid pretty penny for SNES game at the time, but since let go (it went to a good home though).

Was tad 'miffed' when i read the GB review in Zero magazine though, reviewer made it clear he was'nt a fan of the original, so never going to get fair review i felt.

Robobolt (C64)-Came with the 2nd hand C64 my folks bought and after 1 play could see why Zzap 64 scored it so low.

Ninja Master (A8)-waste of tape!

Xenocracy (PS1)-I love space combat games, did'nt wait for review, ordered direct from company and...OMG! it's awful.Burnt there.

Roadblasters C64-Again, did'nt wait for review, bought based on C+VG preview, fool that i was....

Ms.Pacman for myself.

Reason? fond memories of myself and a mate hammering it on the VCS many years ago, on big, old style cabinet TV (wood doors on the front, had to wait for the valves to warm up, that kinda old telly).Just thinking back to it now, still recal the old warm valve smell TV used to kick out....

Anywho, just simple, competive fun, between the 2 of us, high scores to beat etc.

(2nd attempt.1st try never made it to the thread.)

Built up good few over the years, earliest would have to be 3D Monster Maze (ZX81), what that game achived on such primitive hardware, still amazes me to this day. Great to see Jag AVP mentioned, hearing Predators mocking whisper sent chills down my spine. Also worthy of mention:System Shock 2 and Clive Barkers Undying on PC-Great use of audio to create atmosphere, sound so often sadly an ignored medium in games.

Platoon (C64)-Tunnel sections, blood thirsty VC leaping out of the water, right at your throat was a pant changer.

Xcom (PS1) superb music and real feeling of creeping dread on missions as you never knew what was lying in wait and the greatest fear? INCOMING!!! Blaster Launcher missile zig-zagging it's way to your squad.

Never know how to start these introduction pieces, any 2000AD fans out there will 'get' the heading anywho....

Something of a ex-forum regular over the years, owner of so many formats since i twisted my folks arm to get me a ZX81 and 16K Ram pack (3D Monster Maze and Mazogs, did it ever get any better?).

Been reading the site for weeks now, thought rude not to take part-hope you've room for a small one as the saying goes, looking forward to being part of something rather splendid.
