Mega Drive easily. PC Engine next then the ST.

The Amiga version is fine if it was actually a C64.

The SNES version just takes is by a nose from tha Jag. Reason is the lead synth it just a little more aggressive and feels more high impact compared to the more swishy sounding Jag one.

Jag has a cool bassline though.

I'm not entirely sure how the 5th generation became one of it's own when it was clearly the same generation as the 6th but hey-ho I don't make the rules!7

3D0 gets in due to awesome games like Super SF2 Turbo, Need for Speed, Road Rash and Return Fire.

I keep my carts upright and out of the boxes so having the labels on top is handy.

I don't think anyone should take the AVGN seriously.

God a sack load of PSP games this week but I guess it doesn't count on here!

Nice interview, enjoyed the read. The guy seemed really down to earth and his company seems very open to ideas.

£55 for Sensible Soccer was nuts, one of the biggest cons in gaming history. I also paid around that for it on the SNES which sucked as the Amiga version was better and cost miles less.

Megadrive - Fifa 95

Spectrum - Microprose Soccer
Playstation - ISS Pro Evolution/Winning Eleven 4
Neo Geo - Super Sidekicks 3
C64 Emlyn Hughes International Soccer.
N64 J-League Perfect Striker 2

I still love Fifa 95 today. So much you can do with those 3 buttons and various combos of them. Best Fifa game on 16bit.

People often complain that Super Aleste is too easy yet the default difficulty is normal and there are several harder ones.

Recommendations from me are...

Secret of Mana. Yes a fairly standard choice but the game is simply brilliant, even now. Lovely little story, good battle mechanics, amazing music and multiplayer.

Top Gear. Lotus for the SNES basically. Nothing spectacular but great fun and brilliant music.

F-Zero. Perhaps one of the best racers of all time. Crank it up to master level and it is a stonking challenge. No other racer from that time feel like you are in an actual race like this.

J-League 96' Dream Stadium. Stunning late football game that looks a bit like ISS but is probably better. Seems to have extra chips too as it has Super FX add on connectors.

Terranigma. Expensive but worth every penny. A timeless RPG that has an epic plot with a fun, fast paced action battle system.

I do like a good scrolling fighter.

Streets of Rage 1-2. (MD)
Simpsons Arcade (arcade)
Dungeons and Dragons (Saturn)
Double Dragon (NES)
Street Gangs (NES)

Streets of Rage 2 and Street Gangs are certainly my fav scrolling fighters of all time.
