Interesting. And highlights why I trust little of what reviewers write.  :1:

But you didn't tell us why.

Like Sega, Nintendo have some fantastic franchises in their stock.
I love many of them but Zelda is without doubt my favourite. I just enjoy the progression of the games, being in a dungeon is my favourite place to be in single player gaming.

F-Zero is also wonderful with a consistent level of quality throughout the franchise. GX is still lauded today by so many as a masterpiece, good old Amusement Vision!

Starfox games are great, the spin off's are not too bad either, needs another shooter though.

Quote from: "TrekMD"EGM just wanted to make a name for themselves by hating on the Jaguar, it seems.

I very much doubt that, more just crap reviewers.

Surprised to see Double Dragon V get such a high score! Terrible game on all formats!

Attack? Are you actually serious? I did nothing of the sort.

We aren't talking about your youth or anyone elses, we are talking about now 25 odd years later. Yes reviews were a bible to you back then, but now they mean nothing.

I never said you are wasting your time, more that your own opinion is far more valid then some review from a long time ago, IMO. If the reviewer in question could explain why what was given what then it's a different situation.

Do you know that a lot of reviews were written by different people that were actually quoted in the mags? I know that some mags did that, even some of the larger ones.
Also yes some of the nobody reviews are still going, many are not however.

Also review scores have the least meaning of anything in the gaming industry, even more so today.

And if you talk about the knowledge of the general public, go check out the thread on RG where people still don't even know the difference between 50/60hz or things like RGB.

Just saying I would rather read your opinion or the ones of other forum members that's all. Rather than digging up something we really know nothing about. We don't know who reviewed what and the context of the reviews as it was so long ago.

If you want me honest opinion, I think you spend far too much time talking about nobody writers from a bygone era. Who cares what scores games got over 20 years ago? I know I don't.

Did it not have any form of analogue control?

It's astonishingly good.

I agree totally, I love the CD audio in the PS1/Saturn versions and the gameplay is the most balanced. No manual but it was only a quid and I will make a custom single case for it.

This lot I picked up on an epic day yesterday.
