Heres a few of my fave FPS games, that haven't been mentioned yet:

Timesplitters - (PS2) - A few ex-Rare guys who worked on Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, formed their own development team called Free Radical Design. Their first game; Timesplitters on the PS1 was a fast action, secret filled FPS with great humour and level design. The story bridged different times in history which allowed for a multitude of different level locations. Heres a look:

TIMESPLITTERS 1 (PS2) 3 primeros niveles gameplay

Exhumed - (Saturn) - Known as Powerslave in the US and Seireki 1999: Pharaoh no Fukkatsu in Japan and developed by Lobotomy Software. The game was set in Egypt in present times, possibly influenced by the film Stargate and played like a cross between Doom and Hexen. Also released on PC and PS1, each version having different level designs and power ups included. Heres a look:

Exhumed Gameplay Sega Saturn (PAL)

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter - (N64) - Based on the comic book of the same also released by Acclaim, Turok is an FPS that added adventure elements bringing in the more free-roaming exploration gameplay seen in Tomb Raider. This meant you could climb walls, jump gaps, swim and crawl as you hunted for keys to open up the next portal and err hunt dinosaurs. The game spawned 6 sequels, but the original was always the best:

Seems weird calling XBox retro, but i guess it is old enough now. Never owned one myself but brought quite a few games to play on my XB360 that were compatible and played on friends machines. Here are some of my faves:

Red Card Soccer - A great fun alternative footy game with very few rules and a fair bit of violence.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - Easily the best 3D PoP game made yet and the time mechanic was fantastic.
Panzer Dragoon Orta - A great edition to the series and worthy sequel to the great Saturn games.
Blade II - A great fun beat em up with plenty of nods and elements from the great film.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 - Still the best game in the Tony Hawk series, if only for the swearing British coppers!
WWF Raw - Decent fun wrestling game with a great roster.
Mashed: Fully Loaded - As others have mentioned a great multi-player game top down racing game.
The Warriors - Fantastic adaptation of the classic 70's movie mixing great Beat'em Up elements with an engaging story and probably still my second favourite all time Rockstar game after GTAV.

That K.O. Drive looked pretty good, not that dis-similar to Sonic All-Stars but with more of a Daytona theme.

*Update*

A new video for Road Redemption shows how the Road Rash homage looks in action.

The alpha footage shows how the riding and combat mechanics will work when the game releases for PC, Wii U and Xbox 360.

Developed by Darkseas Games, the Kickstarter-funded title is a tribute to classic motorbike racer Road Rash. It was successfully funded in May 2013, and has since reached a series of stretch goals, which included its development for Wii U and Xbox 360.

The title has the official endorsement of Road Rash co-creator Dan Giesler, who wrote "I want to play that! Get funded and kick ass!"

Some good games featured on that video, but the guy that reviews stuff is an idiot. He clearly has no clue about how to play scrolling beat em ups if he thought Captain Commando has a limited moveset!  :33:

Shocking news,
QuoteChesnais said he believes players will enjoy the nostalgia of playing Missile Command or Asteroids slot machine games
Im sure they would rather play these classics on their smartphones or see remakes for 3DS, PSN or XBLA.
