A small rotating disc around the base of the thumbstick would be nice.
Not perfect but usable at least.

Looks OK but WHY do these people insist on including paddle-control games???

It looks really nice and the controllers are good.
But did Ghouls & Ghosts slow down that badly?

I have added Atari 2600/Megadrive/PC Engine and Gameboy Advance - all seem to work fine.
But...........since I hacked it I'm feeling more annoyed that I paid £70 for it.
I could've got a raspberry pi setup with a wireless controller for less.

OK, thanks.
I've seen the mod boards for sale on ebay in the uk but I've haven't held a soldering iron in over 20 years so don't want to destroy any of my consoles!

Can anyone do a composite mod for either console?
Or recommend a reliable modder. In the UK.

Thanks.

Retro News & Chat / Re: Stella - Atari 2600 Emulator

I'll always appreciate and respect anyone that can create an emulator.
Along with M.A.M.E. and Spectaculator, Stella is an ever present on every PC I've ever owned.

But if anyone from the Stella project is reading, can you please look into updating the GUI!

One of the best things I've seen for a long time.
I'll be honest, might be too expensive for a purchase but I do appreciate the time/costs involved.  :1:

If they had a history of doing these I'd have already ordered.
On the other side, if they're starting out then someone has to give them a chance.
The fact that you're charged before they're sent isn't ideal. And they're not liable for any damage in transit.
No description of how they'll be packaged.
And the biggest thing is, because they have no track record/feedback, the sound quality is unknown.
As I would be playing it as opposed to looking at it, sound quality is everything.

Now, if the wanted to send me a free copy for review.......  8)

I'm not sure what this "explosion" is or when it started.
I've been collecting Atari 2600 games since 1995.
I think, due to ebay, it's caught the attention of a lot of greedy folk.
No interest in gaming, gaming history or nostalgia. Just money.
ET for instance was one of those games that you couldn't sell. It would be chucked in for free much like Combat.
Now there's online Retro shops offering it for ONLY £16.
I never used to pay more than £3 for most games now a loose (very common) game, with postage, is about £8 on average.
Even sadder to see well known "enthusiasts" advertising on ebay...

I'd love the Shenmue one.
However, the website doesn't fill me with confidence.

Another great looking book for the king of the home computers!  :77:

My collection before I sold most of it.  :(
Brilliant system but I needed the money at the time and I can play them on the PSP.

Looks amazing so far.
As far as the title goes, to me, it always has been and always will be the Atari VCS.

Always look forward to seeing your new mods but not sure about this one.

I don't doubt it works as it should but I couldn't imagine playing any games with it.
I don't mind using a Megadrive pad with my Atari but it really needs a joystick IMHO.

Also, mixing one of my favourite consoles of all time with a controller from the least favourite....... :-

Looks good until you watch the video unfortunately.

As previously said, the animation looks poor and the moving/jumping mechanic looks very basic.

Pity.
