So I'm dabbling in something new.... just done a podcast all on my own!  Decided to focus on the Amiga as it's what I know best and just posted the first episode:

http://amigarama.podbean.com/

Its on iTunes so would appreciate it if people would have a listen and subscribe... and if it's not too much bother leave a review!  Will be doing a new episode each week and going to have a crack at covering every Amiga game release, though that's probably impossible going to have a good laugh along the way.

Marketplace / Wii U Bundle for Sale £160
February 15, 2016, 11:40:49 AM
8GB white Nintendo Wii U console. It comes fully boxed with power lead, HDMI TV cable, game pad and charger. In good working order.

The console hasn't been registered to Nintendo and has access to 2 digital games (accessible from the Nintendo Online Store) which are Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Prime Trilogy. Both retail on the store for around £15 just need to be redownloaded when you register a new user account.

Boxed official Wii U Pro controller with charge lead in good working order.

Also included are 3 fully boxed games with inserts:

Xenoblade Chronicles X
Shovel Knight
Bayonetta 2

Note: The screen when powered off has a little swirl mark in the screen as well as a tiny black dot in the glass, it can't really be seen during gameplay but have taken pictures to show. Doesn't cause any problems or interference that I've been able to discover.

£160 includes delivery. Paypal gift preferred or BT.

Handheld & Tabletop Chat / Modded GameBoy Backlit
February 08, 2016, 11:58:29 AM
Recently picked up a GB with all the mod works done:

Has a backlight for its screen, professionaly painted, new buttons, new glass screen, audio mod (removes background noise on headphones) and Bivert chip. The chip is fantastic as it transforms the original screen making it capable of displaying higher contrasts thus removing most blur the old one suffered from one. You can get them done here but I picked mine up from eBay for £75:

Did a bit of shopping at the same time and came up with these on my travels:

Retro News & Chat / Retro Food Bank 2015
December 02, 2015, 07:47:23 AM
Decided to do this again this year, idea is to dig into your collection find some of the cheaper stuff like golf games old accessories etc. and bung them on ebay. Use the profits to buy something then drop it off in a local Food Bank collection bin, they are all over the place these days and very easy to find.

Please offer a bit of support if you can even if it's just sharing the video somewhere as every little bit helps. I managed to get about 330 views last year (added last years vid to the playlist of the new one if you want to see last Christmas' haul) and even if just one person donates a tin of beans I'll consider it a success!

Handheld & Tabletop Chat / Psion PDA Appreciation thread
November 18, 2015, 10:19:24 AM
Who remembers the classic Psion PDA range from the mid to late 90's?

I was always obsessed with these as a kid, before phones and internet they just seemed to be the greatest gadget known to man. Able to carry around contacts, calendars AND tell the world time! The 3 series onwards came with an EPOC OS style system which actually seems to be host to several hundred games (SIM City being the most well known), you can pick them up for around £40 these days running for up to £15 on a set of AA batteries even back then and I'm giving serious thought to picking one up. Any gone down this route? Much experience with the games library?

I'm giving serious thought to picking up a Psion 5MX with it's mind blowing 16MB.

Retro News & Chat / My retro channel is back
October 19, 2015, 12:10:27 PM
After a long hiatus (almost 5 years!) I started dabbling in the YT community again. Currently posting 1-2 videos a day as I get back into the swing of things.  Just hit 600 videos last week and not long til the big 1000, I'm hoping to eventually hit 1 million views as I'm at around 720000 right now!

You will have to excuse the channel art but best I could do in MSPaint  :-

Been working on improvements bit by bit, got my eye on a new camera, slowly buying lights and even dabbled in some proper editing software.  Started to use a HD projector on a wall which gives much better footage too!

Little bit late but was a bit of a bumper special. Had a couple of forumites on and think it turned out rather well. This month we go back over Christmas of yesteryear, looking back at some of the most famous Xmas games with our mix of retro memories.  Special thanks to Zapiy and Greyfox for appearing!

Retro News & Chat / Retro Food Bank
December 13, 2014, 19:40:46 PM
Just wanted to share an idea I came up with yesterday:

http://youtu.be/722DsrPuRho

I know all of us have games we don't use, often cheap titles just sitting on a shelf. Well rather than just keep them sat doing nothing lets use this time of year to give a gift to those less well off.  If we all sold a couple of cheap games and used the proceeds to buy some food and donate it to a local food bank we could do lot a lot of good for people in our communities.  I've started with the above but I'm hoping every one can help, either retweet the video with the hashtag retrofoodbank or stick a link up on your own facebook, pages etc.  If you don't like my video then by all means create your own. Even if we just get a small number of people offering something it will help.

Sega Chat / My SMS Collecting thread.
November 17, 2014, 17:31:56 PM
Might as well be this one!  New deliveries today, first up is Winter Olympics which is one of the rarer Klixx classic titles, only amazing thing about it is the dark case, looks odd on the shelf that's for sure.  Second was Line of Fire which is meant to be a really good light gun game but the case is stained with coffee on the back cover, the seller didn't mention that in the auction, just classed it as being in good condition. Complaints ahead.  Plus a quick shot of how the collection looks so far:
