Retro News & Chat / Subbing to Retro Gamer?
April 07, 2014, 00:58:50 AM
hey, I was reading my magazine #125 during spring break, determined to read it completely...but anyways, on page 86 it says that a sub to the WORLD is only 80 pounds
...that would be to me.
13 issues for 80 pounds sounds good, but isn't that really 132.62 US Dollars? At first I thought it would be $80, making it a great deal, but for $132 for 13 issues, that's slightly more expensive than getting the issues at B&N.
I'm just wondering, are there other sub deals out there?

Introductions / To have some fun or pass a quiz...

No, I'm not THAT Scooter-Computer, but I did have the same nick-name in my neighborhood when I was in 8th grade.  I'm old school, and grew up DURING the video game era's birth.
When I was in 2nd grade, my neighbor had the Atari, and we'd play break-out, Asteroids and etc.
When I was around 6th grade I got my first video game system: The Odyssey 2..and I was hooked! The next system I'd get is the Colecovision for the next Christmas, then the Atari Adapter for it (which is great, since I hate the Atari controllers), then the Atari 5200, then Intellivision, and then I crossed over to computers: TRS-80 CoCo, Apple IIc, Apple II GS, and so on.
So, I'm not really from the later era, but I do love the Sega Genesis and Turbo Grafx 16.
I'm glad to be here. I've been bored during these snow days, but that will probably change tomorrow and I'll be back to work, 80 hours a day.
I guess that's all the important information, but I'll be back tonight. I am thinking of getting out of my house, and raiding the Goodwill. I keep reading about all these glorious finds, and I haven't been in months. I normally find nothing, but...maybe today is my day?
