General Retro Chat / Sega Mega Drive - does it discolor ?

Can you guys give me any advice. I have a mint boxed UK Mega Drive but need to know if the panel where the power light sits is prone to fading ?
On this one it is a white almost cream colour when lots I have seen are grey. I cant see how it has faded since its been boxed almost all its life and is mint plus the plastic is very shiny and not like the SNES plastic.
Here is a pic so what do you guys think ?

Just saying a big hello from Kent in the UK. I have a pretty big retro collection including a complete Vectrex collection including the ultra rare Mine Storm 2 cart, 3/4 completed Virtual Boy collection and almost every Atari, Nintendo and Sega console.
