I've heard that Game Panic 3 and Dragon Chalice work.  Hopefully the coming update lets more homebrew run.

Ouya came closer.  Just needed to figure out smarter gatekeeping for games.  Sounded like Tommy only wanted top tier developers but couldn't even get the ramp up to market right.

..oh, Ouya made the mistake of announcing fancier models too soon I hear.  So, I guess he at least didn't do that.

Quote from: TrekMD on June 26, 2023, 23:01:18 PMI've already ordered it!  :)

Nice!  If you have any feedback tell me about it.  I'm quite proud of the password system and NTSC/PAL60 support.  Plus, playing two player co-op has been fun for me :)

Atari Chat / Dragon Chalice for the Atari 2600

I made a 2 player co-op top down adventure called Dragon Chalice for the Atari 2600.

There are 256 game variations per difficulty mode (A/B). Each game variation has 4 8x8 screen kingdoms.  NTSC and PAL60 is supported on the same cartridge.

Yeah.  I can confirm they were existing builds of 2600 games we collaborated on.

Genesis game was by Second Dimension and totally new.

I think I saw John Hancock in some of those pics.  He was a selling 3 games I made for the Atari 2600 plus a genesis game from Second Dimension.  Anyone pick up these?

My first Solomon's Key game was on the NES so other ports feel strange to me.

Except for Solomon's Club on the gameboy.  For some reason that feels like a proper sequel to me.

Took me years to figure out Fire & Ice on the NES was Solomon's Key 2.

Looks like Solomon's Key 3 is an Amstrad CPC title.  Doesn't look like a actual sequel.. More like a homebrew knock off.

I keep just barely finding mentions of a Solomon's Key 3 for the Atari ST.  Might be some bootleg junk.  Anyone heard of it?

The CORGS expo was fun!  Sold through most but some are available on Etsy:

Both games are NTSC only.

Probably offer them on Etsy if there's stock left.  Also, the YouTuber and collector John Hancock has rights to make his own Game Panic 3 release.  So, hopefully no one will miss out!

Releasing the Game Panic 3 / BLT Blast all original homebrew 2600 cart at CORGS this year.  Until I hear otherwise this is the second ever homebrew double ender.  Although new double enders with reproduction games have been around.

BLT Blast is a tiny shooter that encourages risk by making you taller as the bonus goes up.
ROM here: https://theloon.itch.io/blt-blast

Game Panic 3 is a Game & Watch / LCD game-esque cart collecting game spanning 16 unique floors
ZeroPage Homebrew showcased it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNjowHGMyAk&t=4375s

Going price is $55 USD at the show.  Includes developer autographed two page manual, sticker and universal game case with custom insert.

Pretty accurately describes the game.  I was jealous of Amiga owners watching this game.  But, I strongly suspected the gameplay was too rough to be enjoyable.

I think I've seen a pattern where new consoles launch with Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony mentalities and wishes for cherry picked walled gardens.  Doesn't seem to be working.

I remember Space Ace and Dragons Lair to be impressive, expensive and unplayable (for me).  Got more enjoyment watching others play.  Still, I'm sure trying to stuff this game onto home consoles spurred on innovation.
