FYI most cave shmups actually have 2 loops. ;)

Many other games tend to take a longer time to 1cc on average with shmups taking around 15-30 mins for arcade games. Good fun and I feel a lot more intense than other genres. Danmaku for sure gets intense.

Quote from: "Akuza"I know I've been away a bit, only have a few bits to show sadly.

Wave bird controller I picked up from cash converters for £10!! I was really surprised to see them put it at that.

Simons quest £11 I think it was nice addition would have preferred the first, but this will do!

And finally 2 new pc engine games! Nectaris (or you may know it better as military madness, or original creators of advance wars) great game, and deep blue an underwater shooter! Paid I think £5 each

Oh man, Deep Blue is brutal, I tried to 1cc about two months ago. It was so tough, I almost cried.

It's very stressful to play Deathkeep, the controls aren't what I would call.....good, lol. It's still fun and about as close as you can get to Ultima Underworld on a console.

Been playing R-Type on the candy cab, Pulstar on the Neo AES, Castlevania on the NES, (got a 1cc on that one), Revenge of Shinobi on the Mega Drive, and Deathkeep on the 3DO

I had one and sold it not even two months ago, the good games are out of control expensive. Also, anyone that buys one make sure you get the Sega/PCE Pac recapped, they are ticking time bombs. When a capacitor takes a poop it shoots its load all over and the corrosion will eat the traces on the PCB making it almost unfixable. Still a neat machine for the time and there really was nothing like it.

Quote from: "Lorfarius"I did pick up one of these last week:

Cool! What's the picture quality like on laser discs, somewhere between a VHS and a DVD?

Most of the audio is uncompressed which for it's time was stunning. You know when you watch a DVD and an explosion bottoms out or sounds crunched? Yea on a LD it's full band spectrum, nowadays Blu Rays have the sme uncompressed audio, but for the longest LD was the way to go.

I've got about 130 PCBs, hard to store mostly due to size. Maybe I'll get around to listing what I have soon :D
