No thread here yet?

LX.NET from Atari Age has announced his new project for the Lynx.

It is a roguelike dungeon crawler, completely turn-based. This means you walk a step, at the same time the enemy makes his move.

Hack, Slash, Loot is a port of a Windows-/Mac-/Linux-game, and thanks to the original using very minimalistic visuals we can expect a near 1:1 port. The original features 10 different characters, random generated dungeons and thousands of items to loot.

You can get a demo of the computer versions here: http://www.hackslashloot.com/index.html

Rip-off or not, it does look and most importantly sound better than the original on the SMS. :)

Easy win for Arcade and NES here. I have this as a board game.^^

Sonic CD.
I loved the Sonic games, and I was eager to play a version on MCD, with the great audio and scaling & rotation effects.

But it was such a lame game. Features from Sonic 2, which had been released a couple of months earlier were absent. There was slowdown. The level design was terrible, like when you let a kid build the most convoluted landscape out of lego.

Not a terrible game, but a big drop from Sonic 2 at a time when the series was one of the hottest things going.

I was happy too quickly, in the last session there was no warning, but it's back. So the wait for Yandex to delist RVG continues.

Never played the game, but I feel a bit embarrassed of what the SMS showed here. This barely looks better than NES, and the sound is a joke.

Seeing the GameBoy version made me think about how much smoother the cares would have been scaled on the Lynx. On Lynx there would probably have been no music though.^^

The FM Towns version looks great; ST and Amiga suffer from having the car in a color scheme almost indistinguishable from the asphalt.

There must be an error. The site was offline for a while and now I don't get any warnings anymore. :)

Indeed, Lode Runner is a great classic, also one of the few western games that was popular enough to actually get remade in Japan plus japanese exclusive sequels. :)

Okay, here's the site you reach when you click on the Yandex logo in the warning...

What link? I just get a warning whenever I visit RVG, like on the pic I posted at the beginning of this thread, and a red warning beside the URL-field all the time.

I suppose Opera is working with Yandex, and Yandex  still has RVG blacklisted.

Glad to hear it. Opera/Yandex still flag RVG as scam, but at least with Opera's vanishing market share that will not have a big impact.

Rygar 46%?

What a joke. One of my favorite Lynx games. Of the people that started getting into the Lynx around the same time I did I know they all like Rygar. We kind of shared our experiences, and everyone was happy with that game.

So, for everyone who missed the cart release the game is now officially available as freeware.

I have attached it here for your convenience.

Whatever the problem is it must be solved somehow. When the site is flagged on major browsers no new visitors will come.
