Retro News & Chat / compot's collection
June 21, 2021, 10:56:16 AM
Hello everyone! I have a small collection of games which I would like to share with you. I also have some sega saturn, wii and xbox360 games and some pc games. I own the following systems: NES toploader, SNES, N64, Wii, Sega Master System, Megadrive, two Sega Saturns, Dreamcast, Xbox 360 and a Playstation 1 and 2. Hardware collection photos coming soon. I've recently moved and all my stuff is still stored in boxes. Sorry for the low-res photos.

I like the saturn version's framerate and smoothness. I say it's the best version.

That Bubble Bobble master system II is one of the best custom consoles i've seen.
I also love that baby blue d-pad on the first one's controller.

games for the ps2 are still pretty cheap. I get them whenever I have the opportunity. Last month I got a 50 c.i.b. games bundle for 100$.

Spectrum Chat / Re: Please fill me in about the Spectrum
December 07, 2020, 08:17:17 AM
What I can tell you is that it was the most copied console of all time. All eastern european countries reverse engineered the specky and created their own version. In my country alone there were at least 6 versions of it produced. Bare in mind that video games were an alien concept for countries like mine, behind the iron curtain.
Each week I discover another version of the Spectrum.

Some arrivals for the past couple of weeks...

I already had these games, but not the boxes.

These are new additions...

Awesome choices. I guess those will keep you busy during christmas. Do you consider modding that game&watch?

The better games on ps1,saturn,ps2 gc,dreamcast etc have options for playing this way. Its called TATE mode. Pronounce "tah...tay".

Allright, hope you don't mind if I steal your idea and flip one of my TV's sideways too.

That's a pretty neat set-up. But how do you rotate the picture 90 degrees for shooter games on that sideways tv?

I think it might also be because they tend to sell ntsc games as pal on aliexpress. I don't think they bother to change the rom to the correct region when they sell them.

That's not good.  Where do you tend to get them from?
Well tbh i buy the ones that are 4 or 5 dollars from Aliexpress.

Very impressive collection, Trek. I like that everything you own is in mint condition.
