This is a WORK IN PROGRESS video showcasing the core gameplay elements of JagZombies 2 for the Atari Jaguar console. These elements include, the shotgun, the flame thrower mechanics, the grenade toss, T.N.T. display and item pickups. In addition to these features this video is the first public reveal of stage 5 SINISTER SEWERS. Please bare in mind that the game represented here in this video is still in a work in progress state, as such you will notice both graphical and collision issues particularly in the sewer stage. These things will be cleaned up and polished shortly. If you are interested in JagZombies 2 then stay tuned. There are still a ton of incredible surprises that this game will feature including some original creatures.

alright guys, thank you for the kind words. I don't know if I mentioned this here or not but a revised version of JagZombies 1 called "JagZombies RELOADED" will be included on the JagZombies 2 cart. This mode can be selected by pressing the number key 4 at the main menu. So the below video is a new generic zombie death animation I am testing out. Keep in mind the zombies that are killed up close will still have custom animations of the particular zombie being killed and this animation is for when they are further away, ie not all up in the camera.
I'm not sure how it vibes with the rest of the games graphics so I decided to show it off here in this video as well as the JagZombies RELOADED mode so you can get an overall idea of how this animation will fit in all the way around.

Area 51 is a great example of the COJAG hardware and I am also considering giving a shot at converting that over if this one goes over well.

A lot of people have been saying they haven't heard of this game before or seen it. As it is technically part of the Atari Jaguars history being a COJAG game I highly recommend searching for the arcade ROM online and giving it a go in MAME for anyone that is interested. It is a fun little game. There is also FREEZE and VICIOUS CIRCLE. FREEZE is a cutesy puzzle game and VICIOUS CIRCLE is a really bad rip off of Killer Instinct.

 Hello folks,

recent times have been a bit of a bummer with all of the insanity going on in the world so I have been trying to do things that are a bit less stressful. I woke up one day last week and said "you know what? I'm gonna try my hand at porting over that COJAG arcade game Fishin' Frenzy over to the actual Jaguar console"

So I started on it already. I used PhotoShop 2020 and honeycam to rip most of the graphics from the game. About 70% of everything in the actual arcade game has already been ripped and I am still ripping sprites and such now. I have spent about 2 or 3 days on this conversion so far and it's coming along nicely. Now being that I don't have the actual source code to the original arcade game, this is actually a re-creation and not an actual port. With that being said I am convinced I can make a 100% accurate replica of the arcade game. One cool thing about this is that I can run the real game in MAME and at the same time run my version in Virtual Jaguar and simultaneously control both games with the same controller. This sounds bizarre but is actually very helpful in identifying what needs to be changed in my version vs the real thing.  Below is a video of both my conversion and the real game. MAME is running on the right and the Jaguar version is running on the left in Virtual Jaguar so you guys can get an idea of just how close it's coming along. You may notice that some of the sound effects are not exactly the same. This is because I was unable to rip some sounds like the "Cha-Ching!" sound when you catch a fish. For these sounds I found similar samples online and adjusted the pitch using audacity to match the original sounds as close as possible. Anyway working on this little guy has been very relaxing and I am enjoying the hell out of it! Have a look!

I'm not sure what I'm planning to do im regards to a release. But I do know there os a lot left to do I spent all day today setting up the title screen and character select and finally got it all together amd looking nice on the Jaguar.

It's a lot of fun doing this though! Perhaps I will end up doing a release, but that is still very far away.

I was extremely bored today and feeling creative so I decided to try my hand at something that will prove to be really challenging to pull off. It's still very early in the works as I have only spent about a day on it but never the less I decided to share here:

So this project has been scrapped and re-worked into a ROTARY version of Space Invaders. It is called Neon Invaders and will be ready to be shown soon here on RVG. It will also have a feature that lets you select and take control of the 3 shields. You can then either ram the shields into the invaders or reposition them as you see fit on screen. Controlling the shields works by pressing one of the number keys for the designated shield you wish to control. A rotary controller is optional for this game and not a requirement but it is a nice feature and a first for a WAVE 1 GAMES release. I look forward to showing a nice video trailer of the game in the near future but in the meantime I will tease with an image of the controller overlay!
