Got this off an eBay seller.
MUSHA is a damn expensive game - £400 or so original CIB. No way I could justify that and I don't really like ROMs.
Here's a decent compromise. £25 delivered. There may be better offers than that but I took a punt.
First off - the game works great. It's a cracking game - a rock solid 2D shooter. The box feels a bit cheap but I suppose I could harvest one from a cheap game. The cart looks fine as does the manual. The print inside the manual is the weakest thing but it's readable. Overall - I'd do this again if I want some really expensive game - Snow Bros and Wardner for example. :)

Looks good, almost too good! Other than the quality of the box and manual is there anything on the cart or packaging that states it's a repro?
As long as it's marked as a repro I'm okay with these but if it can be passed off as real to unsuspecting people then that's not cool.
It looks pretty good - but really it wouldn't fool anyone - it's pretty obvious it's a repro - the box feels quite cheap and the cart has a 16bit logo on the back - so it isn't trying to fool anyone. :)
With some of these rare games, this is a good way to go. If it is clear repro, it's not a problem.
Agreed but bare in mind some people are new to this and won't be able to tell the difference so they should be clearly marked and repo's.
Looks good though fella.
The photos actually make it look a bit better than it really is - so I could see how someone could be fooled with eBay pics.
The price should be the big giveaway.....provided the seller is honest.
Yeah your right mate, sadly there is a few people in the world that will attempt to scam people.
a lot of repro carts i bought for my megadrive glitch out or won't work at all. it's just a matter of luck when buying them.
That's not good. Where do you tend to get them from?

Well tbh i buy the ones that are 4 or 5 dollars from Aliexpress.
Ah, that may be whey they fail. I asked because I haven't had a negative experience with repros yet.
Yeah you get what you pay for I guess..
I think it might also be because they tend to sell ntsc games as pal on aliexpress. I don't think they bother to change the rom to the correct region when they sell them.

I've bought a few repros in the past, just so I can play the expensive games on the original hardware, think I bought cotton, punisher and musha all decent fun games.
That's the reason I get repros for the Genesis. Some of the games are just too expensive to get as originals.
I have a few repro carts. I don't like to buy them unless it is a game that is super valuable and/or didn't get an official US release (like Mega Man:The Wily Wars), or it is a ROM hack of something that I find myself playing and enjoying more than usual, such as these two ROM hacks of Sonic 1, which replaces Sonic with Rouge the Bat in one of the hacks, and Sonic with Princess Sally in the other. All three of which I DO own reproduction carts of. I also have a repro cart of that bootleg Genesis port of the SNES version of Aladdin that Capcom made which is called "Aladdin II", which I find hilarious.
Repro games have a place, as already mentioned, buying them instead of paying stupid money for rare games makes sense.
I know I would do it again.
