As the title says. Can be for any system, could be a peripheral, game, accessory, ect
Hmm, I think I have some items that are, at least, less common for my Sega systems. For the Genesis I have Splatterhouse 2 and Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. For the 32X I have Kolibri and Blackthorne. For the Sega CD I have Robo Aleste and for the Sega Dreamcast I have Ikaruga.
I don't have anything too rare with the games, but I do have a CDX system which isn't too common.
The CDX is indeed rare. I've seen some at conventions. A really cool system too play Genesis and Sega CD games. Not so practical for 32X games, though.
Yeah, you have to take the 32X out if you want to change the CD. Looks kinda funny with the big mushroom on top too lol.
LOL Yes, I've seen videos of that!
I have hundreds of Sega games and accessories but no idea about rarity. I have a CDX. I have MUSHA for the Genesis. I have a sealed World Series Baseball for the 32x. I have Panzer Dragoon Saga and Radiant Silvergun for the Saturn. I have Shenmue 2 for the Dreamcast.
There may be higher rarity games in my collection too, but I know those are some of the games where quality/demand keeps the prices high.
Those are indeed rare games,
@tomwaits.
Also, it's not really 'rare', but I have a semi-consolized Naomi with a 512MB NetDimm and a Raspberry Pi configured as a dedicated file server. Arcade fun!
Hmmm,
I have mint copies of Burning Rangers and Guardian heroes for Saturn. And a Saturn rental case. But thats about it.
I'm mostly a Jag collector ;)
Think the rarest item i have is radiant silvergun, not sure what else I have that's rare.
Jap Megadrive can't be rare?
Quote from: tomwaits on November 03, 2016, 12:26:07 PMI have Panzer Dragoon Saga and Radiant Silvergun for the Saturn.
Wow, that's pretty rare stuff imo. Props
Rarest for me would be Castlevania Bloodlines for Genesis and an arcade stick as well. Don't remember the brand but it's awesome for arcade style play.
I didn't realize Castlevania Bloodlines was considered to be rare. I have that one too. I also have the arcade sticks for the Genesis. I'd love to get the arcade stick for the Dreamcast, though. Those are not cheap, though!
Yeah, Bloodlines probably isn't rare but everything else I have is more common lol.
Ah, that explains it. LOL
Hello all it's been a while but I have a good few ntsc j saturn games that could be classed as rare (or just expensive) I'm not sure which. Stellar assault ss and elevator action returns are a couple.
There was a version of Elevator Action for the Saturn? That's cool! I did not know this existed. Just looked up a video on YT and it does look nice.
Trek its a really goodd old school action platformer with great animation and some really nice little touches,it's just a shame it's so expensivery though I'm sure it's on a taito compilation for og xbox and ps2.
Oh, yes, I did check and saw that it is quite pricey! Best way to get it would be through one of the compilations if it was included.
Rarest item I have is the edge 16 modem for the genesis. Obviously not a game but hardware Instead
I've never seen one of those!
There are a few pictures of them floating around online actually. Not many but there are a few still.
You're right. Not very many pics of it. For anyone curious, here is what it looks like...

I've got lots of Sega hardware and software but nothing rare. I missed out on a Burning Rangers for the Saturn when it came out at the end of the UK life. I have lots of SMS, Megadrive, Saturn and Dreamcast games just nothing of note.
I used to have a really good UK Saturn collection back in the day but sold it for £130 in the early 2000's - 40 odd games, Multitap, 8 Controllers, 3 Guns etc.
One positive thing about Sega are most of the must own titles are easily to get hold of.
Yeah, I do love my Sega hardware.. would love a few rare titles but breaking the bank is not something I can justify these days..
Just read through here again for the 1st time in a while. Just wanted to say to TrekMD I recently bought taito legends 2 for ps2 that has Elevator Action 2 on and it feels off so I'd say the saturn version is better. Also I forgot to say I have a 'this is cool' saturn which is supposed to be fairly rare. Also a 'super wonderboy super monster land' miss print on master system not sure about this but haven't seen any on eBay.

Hmm, what do think is off with the PS2 version of Elevator Action 2? Not well emulated?
The controls just feel a bit sluggish compared to the saturn version, the ps2 is Japanese so no 50/60 hz problems. However it just feels off not sure why, maybe it is the emulation or just the difference between the sharp controls of the saturn version compared to the ps2.

I think you've listed enough issues for the game to feel off. Nothing like the original, then. :)
No lol ☺
