Simply wonderful, I adore these console history flashbacks, doesn't matter that I already most of the history, you always see something you didn't before.

Interesting history but I was shocked with all the negativity about Altered Beast. I think it's great and one of my favorites for the system.

Never heard of Last Battle. Might be able to have some fun with it if I stop that health meter from depleting. Grabbed it for some possible hacking.. 8)

Space Harrier II and Super Thunder Blade both look terrible, SH2 especially. LOL if I accidentally bought that at launch I would've been pissed! From the ridiculous looking flying around the screen to that God awful dying sequence and howling. That's what would have played in my head when I thought of Sega afterward.

Thunder Force II looked good. Probably set the bar in 1989 but with those 6 launch titles available, I'm sure people learned to like what was there and forced themselves to play. Just like with the 2600 :P

Yes, I was surprised at the negativity with Altered Beast.  It's not what I had expected to hear about that game.
