Title: Psion PDA Appreciation thread
Post by: Lorfarius on November 18, 2015, 10:19:24 AM
Who remembers the classic Psion PDA range from the mid to late 90's?

I was always obsessed with these as a kid, before phones and internet they just seemed to be the greatest gadget known to man. Able to carry around contacts, calendars AND tell the world time! The 3 series onwards came with an EPOC OS style system which actually seems to be host to several hundred games (SIM City being the most well known), you can pick them up for around £40 these days running for up to £15 on a set of AA batteries even back then and I'm giving serious thought to picking one up. Any gone down this route? Much experience with the games library?

I'm giving serious thought to picking up a Psion 5MX with it's mind blowing 16MB.

I never did own a PDA but my dad had one and he had a few games on it that I tried. He had some card games and a few old arcade games too. I'm sure I remember playing Centipede on it and it played well.

I had a Psion 3C back in the day.

Managed to fire off a CV to a company using the external fax modem hooked up to my phone line.

Didn't get an interview :(

They are awesome and you won't regret picking one up! I compiled a sort of blog with loads of downloads, websites etc:

Doesn't seem to be much useful info out there for them.
