Test Drive is a cross-platform racing game released by Accolade in 1987. It is the first in the Test Drive series of racing games and has been followed by numerous sequels.
Gameplay:
The player chooses one of the five following supercars to drive on a winding cliffside two-lane road while avoiding traffic and outrunning police speed traps. The course's five stages are separated by gas station pit stops: Lamborghini Countach Lotus Esprit Turbo Chevrolet Corvette C4 Porsche 911 Turbo (930) Ferrari Testarossa.

Unfair to compare the 16bit versions with 8bit versions.. Amiga for me.. C64 looks great though and i never knew a port appeared on the Apple II.

It was a favorite of mine on the Commodore 64. Many hours spent driving each car.
Looks like some solid ports but since I only played the C64 version, that is my choice.
Test Drive II was ok. I still prefer the first one though.
