I don't think I ever played the Amiga version - well, I can't remember it if I did, anyway.

But I played a lot on the Spectrum version. I loved that game. Super polished.

Hummm.. I believe that there was no spectrum version of this game.. Are you shure?

I've checked world of Spectrum's database and they have no record of it either, so maybe Sokurah has made mistake or he remembers another top down racer?

Bugbear Entertainment, best known for its Flatout car racing franchise, started its successful career in video game development in March 2000. Nowadays the finnish company is working on the "Next Car Game" that will be available soon.. I hope!

Targa, aka Rendering Ranger: R2, is simply one of the greatest hidden gems on video gaming history and one of the best Super Nintendo titles I've ever played! It's a mix of side-scrolling run'n'gun action and shmup highly inspired by Turrican and R-Type:

Nice vid!  Downhill looks like a chance to, at least visually, experience a ride that otherwise could be your last!  R-Type looks fantastic!  That would fit in my arcade perfectly!  I've passed by Primal at the local used stores a few times, but may consider it now that I've seen more of the game.  I've read that 1080i isn't as sharp as 720p and that many users prefer it over 1080i.  Interlacing, after one realizes what's going on with the screen halving and updates to 'appear' higher res, can actually be a deflection to nerdy detail hogs or hardcore videophiles.   :113:

I enjoyed the DC video a lot Pixel, it always interests me to see what games people like the most.  Giga Wing was an underrated shmup for sure, it's nice to see it get some recognition.  If you ever get in the mood to collect Saturn imports, it has a huge number of excellent shmups as well.  It has some that are very cheap and some that are crazy expensive much like the Dreamcast, but some of the best ones aren't necessarily the highest priced.  I have a decent list of them in the Under-Appreciated Saturn Games thread if you ever want to take a look.

The first Motorstorm game came with my PS3 when I bought it and it's still one of my favourite games on the system. Sad to see them get shut down but that's business I guess. Nice video :)

wonderful stuff, I absolutely love the PC Engine, an all time favorite of mine, the gas thing I didn't discover the machine until I had a friend bring one around one day? I thought what the hell is this thing? the size of it, it can't be good right?..how wrong was I?, when I'd seen Shinobi and Out Run on it, I couldn't believe this was doing near arcade perfect releases, far better than any other machine at the time? and played for hours on end with it, until he was leaving, then I wasn't so happy..lol. the same friend also introduced me to the Neo Geo back in 1990 when they'd only arrived in Japan, I don't know how he managed to get one or from where, but I remember the machine costing him about 600pound and two games costing 200 pound each..

I then discovered the PC engine again with amazing thanks to a full purchased license key for Magic Engine on the PC and played all these extra games I never heard off or played before, so again many thanks for this great video.

16 years ago I stumbled, by accident, upon 1NSANE and simply couldn’t resist to its amazing cover! And the sentence “No Limits, No Rules, No Roads” instantly grabbed me!
By then, I was a huge fan of multiplayer over network, so playing 1NSANE with friends was a really fun thing to do!

Another great video! I loved Crusader No Remorse back then and played it until my fingers bled. Never played Crusader No Regret but will have to find it now. Also, never played Diablo but remember it being everywhere back in the day.

Fantastic episode. I never owned or played an XBOX (any iteration, even to this day) but now I want one lol.
Some great looking exclusive titles there. Had no idea The Rock was the first person to own one. I remember the release for this was a month, almost to the day after the Gamecube in 2001. I was hooked on PS2 at the time and swore allegiance to the company/brand/machines and have to this day stuck by it but what a collection of insight into an amazing console.

Yeah but my connection at work is by a different ISP (more reliable) and playing on PC there is possible whereas, not so much w/ my PS4 lol

That was a GREAT video. Made my day listening to all those details about the games and the companies behind them. Had no idea about the work conditions surrounding Metro. I have 2033 & Last Light but have never played them. Also have Alien Isolation, Dead Space 1/2 and The Suffering but they're still on the shelf waiting their turns. Don't even know if I can stomach playing Isolation. That atmosphere scares the sh*t outta me. Love it!

Silent Hill 2 was one of my favorites back in 2001. Dude's dead wife looked just like my live wife at the time and I remember when we played through we were both shocked at that. And Pyramid Head lol. That guy was... terrifying :p
But those nurses.. Dayum :D

I love those horror movies too. Actually had turned one off bc it was making me sick earlier then I saw your vid had been posted. Great stuff 8)

Yeah, Tomb Raider II is also my favorite from the original trilogy :)

Yeah, and it's a shame. That was one of my favorite franchises but that abysmal iteration is really a tragic addition to what was once some epic gaming. Seemed like the dialogue was geared toward 10 year olds while the challenge in some of the upper levels could only be beaten by experts. But, I guess if I played long enough it could be second nature. Just couldn't tolerate it anymore lol.

Just watched the entire thing and spent some rude $ at GOG.com picking up about 9 titles I didn't know were available on pc. Shadows of the Empire and Rogue Squadron being the two I'm most excited to revisit.

The home computer video game based on Total Recall suffered quite a harsh development process and, recently, the rolling demo of the original scrapped ZX Spectrum version was retrieved and made playable for us to try.

I’ve been messing around with my QuickShot Maverick 1 and ended up discovering a new and far more enjoyable way of exploring certain games that I used to play with a traditional joystick back in my Amiga years.

Besides video games, I also love to collect concerts on DVD from bands that I've always worshiped! And, back when they started to appear, they would remind me of those old big box PC games that came filled with awesome perks and extra content!
