Title: Game gadget info
Post by: HomerRamone2084 on December 21, 2013, 10:02:32 AM
OK so i got a game gadget.. (Largley for my youngest for xmas - he loves retro stuff)

What do I do with it ? I found a link to an image that goes onto an SD card... but if I can avoid having to have one stuck in the side of it then that would be better. I plugged it into my PC USB and the drive shows up - but theres nothing on there.

Before I go trawling the net for info thought i would ask here :)

I am confused with what you want to do bud. You will need the SD card with the software installed on it.

No getting around that from what i can tell you pal.

Correct, zap. The internal storage is far to small. Download the firmware, unzip and install all the files onto the ds card.  You can start playing right away!  Don't forget that you can add roms too!

Now im confused. Theres already some stuff on there. A bunch of md games.
If I need an sd card then I need one just thought be nice if I could have it run some stuff without.... The roms of interest are pretty small. Well the mame and atari ones :-)

I think so thanks. I got an SD card and used an image I found (possibly from link on here somewhere). Managed to get the NES, SNES and 2600 emus working. some mame stuff works though I cant get it to play any sound.
Be nice to maybe get the C64 emu on there.. is there a BBC one ? (My first computer was a BBC :) )
