So do we have any other Philips CD-i owners out there apart from me? What model do you have?
I am just packing my machine up to take to Revival this weekend so hopefully a few more people can see that it's not the complete pile of shit that it's made out to be!
I myself have the classic CD-i 220, the huge one that looks like a VCR, with a Gravis joypad:

I have around 150 discs for mine that include games, music, movies, interactive multimedia and educational stuff. I got most of the non-games stuff with the machine and shortly afterwards picked up another bundle of around 50 discs from somebody who message me on ebay for just £20!
I actually got a bargain on the console too as it was miss-spelt in the listing as "Phillips", a common mistake, so it only cost me £25 with around 60 odd discs!
Yep i am an owner of a 210 model, have around 15-20 games, plenty of movies and some educational stuff including the rare rollerball..
I have a 210. I got it for 7 or 8 quid, most of which was postage. It was listed as faulty but I fixed it. Haven't used it much, but I've got a good controller for it which I recently modified.
I have the 210 model.
I have two CD-i systems. A Sony CD-i portable and a Philips 210 with digital video card. The battery is dead in my 210 though so it no longer saves games. :D Will post it later if I can find it...
What's it play like? from the vid, ship looked way too big for the narrow playing/game window.
I also quite a nice cd-i collection, with 11 players and almost 80 games. I love the standard even if the save featureis crap.
I also have both dvc expension andthe rare joystick.
I enjoy playing cd-i specially:
- the apprentice
- hotel Mario
- Kether
- l'Ange et le Demon
- Burn Cycle
- Secret Mision
Sure does, looks like a very good game from where I am sitting.
Sadly, I do not own one. There are some really neat games and those CD-I infomercials will always stick in my memory.
Hello,
Here is a short video of the Kyocera Pro1000s player
The quality is not excellent il took it with my Iphone

I will see during my long vacation If I can make a video with a comparaison beatween a public reader and this professionnal reader I have.
Mad Dog and Space Ace sure made the system rounds. I do not remember either game on the infomercials. Just Voyeur.
Digital Video Cartridge needed to play. That is a bummer.
I always wanted CD-i, but it has been particularly elusive to find around my area. I do have three games for when I get it some day.
Thats a must have game..
Classic commercialsÂ

Too bad Phil Hartman isn't with us anymore, loved him on the TV show News Radio.
LOLÂ Those are some commercials!Â
Wow, that Flintstones and Jetsons game looks just like the cartoons!
I played The Apprentice a couple of months ago. It is a good game, but bloody hell is it hard. I couldn't finish it.
Or kids at heart...Â
My cousin actually used to have a CD-i a really, really long time ago, so long ago I don't even know how I still remember he had one. I know he had Battleship, which is... well, Battleship. He had this one other game, though...
Mystic Midway: Rest in Pieces (CD-i Gameplay) (//http)
Mystic Midway: Rest In Pieces. The best "be constantly made to feel inadequate by a very fat man/shooting gallery" simulator you'll find for the CD-i OR MS-DOS! ...Seriously, though, it's a pretty OK game, although good luck getting past Level 3. It's not very deep, though, and it feels more like a minigame you'd play to win extra lives in a bigger, better game.
It's a shame they tried to market the CD-i so hard as a game console. They could have beaten the DVD player to the punch, if they were smart, but...
Nice videos at least someone talking quitelly aboutr the CD-I and without insulting it.
Now, that's a surprise!

I am not a Mario fan but I am sure this would have gone down well had it been finished.
Oh, I'm sure it would have!

I like the GameSack guys in that they give consoles a fair shake for the most part (I wish they had put more into the Jag review, but that's neither here nor there). I think this is the best CD-I video that I've seen.
I'm not very familiar with this particular console, so the video was pretty informative for me. They usually do a good job in their videos.Â

Yeah sadly the cost was it's downfall in the end. I have a vast collection that I bagged many moons ago that I am thinking about moving on now.
They didnt mention the Zelda games ended up on CD-I at all did they?
And that at the time the first two were relatively well received.
Still a pair of Nintendo and Sega fanboys but they are harmless enoughÂ
See I like the cdi I've found a few shmups on it (such as steel machine and alien gate) which are alright, there aren't many games I want for the cdi but im always on the look out, i think my model is the 210 with the built in video card to play stuff like space ace.
As I said, nice little console, but a shame about the lack of decent titles!
I would just say one thing: Those Zelda games were being goofed on fairly soon after release. I remember GamePro in the U.S. at least taking them to task in the mid-90's.
