I remember seeing this game in the arcades when I was a kid and then I first played it on my friends Spectrum but I really didn't think that version was very good.
I later got the 2600 which I really enjoyed, especially in 2-player mode. It might not look that great but it plays very well. The 7800 version still gets the odd play these days, I prefer playing this to the Super Mario games after it.
I spent plenty of quarters playing this game with one of my cousins in the arcade. When it made it to the 2600, we couldn't be happier!Â
My first thought was "I never knew of all the versions". Then I had to remember this was the early Nintendo that allowed ports of their games.
Played the C64 and the three Atari versions. Still want to try the Nes version someday.
The homebrew ColecoVision version which isn't in this video:

I always like Mario Bros. It is a fun game to play, particularly if you play with a friend.Â

That does look good.
Here is a new video comparing various versions of Mario Bros. There's a new one being made for the 7800 that is a killer but that is no on this video.

You can watch the new version for the 7800 on this video from Zero Page Homebrew. You need to go to 25:02 to start right at the game.
