So this is a computer game and its called The Next Game Master. I just wanted to get fellow retro gamers feedback on this. I am in the process of coding it now and its a little more than half way done.

Using a combination of NES, SNES, and Genesis ROMS & Emulators, it is a game for up to 8 players with 6 Rounds of challenges and then a final gauntlet round. Throughout these 6 rounds, you need to win challenges to earn points. After 6 rounds, points are tallied and the players are entered into a Gauntlet, with the first place player playing last.

2 Players play with AND/OR against each other to earn up to 3 points

2 players play the same game individually to see who scores more points in it.

Gauntlet Round:
Points are then tallied and ranked and the Gauntlet ROund begins. THe lower ranked players must defeat the next highest player to keep moving up until they play the #1 ranked player. Then in a Best of 5 Series of challenges, players compete in challenges to finally determine who is the Next Game Master!

I played this with a group of friends and they loved it. Again, I just wanted to put this out there and see what you all think!

I have to say it looks great.  What are you looking to do with it? Retail?

Thanks Zapiy I appreciate the feedback! Selling this is going to be EXTREMELY tricky. I originally wanted to do a kickstarter for it because I've seen emulator front ends on there before that have done well. If I were to sell this it wouldn't include ROMS since thats illegal. Emulators aren't illegal so people would just have to find the roms on their own. I'd just include a list of all the games that are playable in it.

That is absolutely fantastic, I really love the graphics and is a superb premise for this type of game and opens up lots of avenues for computer platforms and even To the present day, I've seen similar types of quiz game on the Internet but not done in this great fashion.

The emu and rom issue might be able to bypass since there are entire tosec collection on the internet archive, I think if you acknowledge the games and companies you might just get passed under fair usage etc. or extract video gameplay and screenshots from selected games which can be used based of the quiz making process.

Again this is brilliant and would love to support in some fashion via promotion or creating awareness via Twitter etc.

Wow Thanks Greyfox! I'm glad you are interested in this! When you say acknowledge the games and companies what do you mean exactly? Put them in the credits?

Yeah that would be awesome and extremely helpful if you want to let your friends or anyone know about this! Twitter, Facebook, etc. I had this on other forums but no one really seemed interested so I was about to give up hope on it until I saw your feedback!

No problems fella, I was try my best to encourage those working on great things to never give up and push it to the limits , people are people and a lot of the time they have no concept of what involved to produce something that can stand out from the norm, which I really feel you have done here. This certainly something I would very much play on a computer, a tablet device, my advice is go for it, realise your dreams, make it happen, people will realise the work when it's finished.

As regards to acknowledgments, I suggest acknowledgment to the software house, sega, Nintendo etc. the games themselves with their own copyrights to the companies who produce them, the rom set insertion you could add an option as you mentioned to add there own allowing questions to be unlocked and state that the person must own the original cartridge or game withdrawn you from any copyright infringement that you are claiming ownership or title, game etc. I've seen many questionable games and apps on the Google App Store where debs have used or incorporated copyright games within their titles under the quiz genre.

You also have the option to use 10-15 video clips , screenshots, sound bites from these games to which your not infringing on copyright material (games and companies) once your using them as an element in your software but not nessarly claiming ownership, or that reference to the program or game?
