Yeah angry birds is in there too... So is fifa.

Neither of those games are on par with Sims or Mario bros.

Have you read the requirements? How does fifa and angry birds fall into those categories?

I only read the link, which didn't mention categories or requirements so I'm not sure. It does say what all the games have in common is their impact on pop culture, which I can agree with even if I'm not a fan of some of them :)

I wouldn't be surprised if they limited the Hall of Fame to games which made the largest cultural impact. No dark horses, no surprises, and no overlooked gems, but real gamers don't need all that to feel validated. Most of us recognize the real champions of the industry, even if they didn't make a huge splash in their time. The cultural impact of a game like Ultima can't be felt by its sales figures alone, but rather by its rippling influence through the industry as a whole. I hope the Hall of Fame eventually opens up to the dark horses, but for now, I'm just happy to see video games getting recognition. They picked some great games for the inaugural class.
