Title: New Sega Genesis/MD Homebrew - G-Zero
Post by: TrekMD on March 10, 2015, 03:02:28 AM
Here is something of a surprise for MegaDrive/Genesis owners, a port of the SNES F-Zero for the system:  G-Zero.  This is more of a tech demo but it is an impressive accomplishment when you consider the MD doesn't have a Mode 7 functionality like that of the SNES.  Below is a video of the demo in action.  You can also download the binary to test via emulator or real hardware using your most favorite Flashcart for the console.

F-zero being of my favourites, this is something of a brilliant achievement on the Megadrive I really hope they take this technical routine and put it to a great use and make an amazing game with it.

Truly awesome stuff :)

Seems to run fine on my Gizmondo via emulators.

It's pretty fun to play all things considered.
