Title: How on earth do you play Space Channel 5?
Post by: guest5158 on July 05, 2014, 10:04:41 AM
So I've tried countless times to try and play Space Channel 5, but cannot for the life of me get around HOW you actually play it?

the aliens shout left, right, up, down, chu, chu, chu.
I press left, right, up, down, a, a, a in exactly the same rhythm and beat but I always get the "boing" failure sound and ratings drop!

Can anyone explain how to actually do this game and get good ratings?

This is from memory (which could be a bit dodgy!) but there might be a bit of lag depending on game/machine region.
I'm talking specifically of the dreamcast version.

I have this on PS2 and DC (PAL) and haven't noticed lag. However it has been some time since I played it and I don't think I've played it on a modern TV (i.e. not a CRT). Some modern TVs will introduce lag - it is why modern rhythm games such as DJ Hero have a calibration feature to deal with it.

Many modern TVs have a game mode that disables a lot of the laggy image processing. Might be worth trying that if your TV has it.

Thanks,

Have tried game mode and even an old CRT monitor...just seems to be me...I can't get the hang of it no matter how hard I try!
