Title: My collection (Mr1280)
Post by: Mr1280 on June 15, 2014, 12:51:12 PM
Thought I'd show you all my collection so far.
I only joined up the other day and as I went to a carboot yesterday and bought loads of goodies I couldn't resist showing them all off. I have no where near the amount of goodies  you guys have but I hope to get that much one day!
I started collecting last may and I love it!
Anyway yesterday I bought a GameCube, n64 controller, gameboy colour with 7 games, gameboy advance with mario kart, snes game enter the dragon, n64 game 1080 snow boarding, megadrive games- chuck rock (boxed)
Worms (boxed)
Puggsy (boxed)
World of illusion (just cartridge)
2 big sonic and knuckles figures, and the mario happy meal toys I was missing!

Here's some pics of everything I have

Very nicely displayed!  I really like how the portable systems have those figures at either side.  Good collection as well!

I love my megadrive! Loves it as a kid, I've got about 50 games fm for that now. How come megadrive games aren't worth as much as snes ones??

Simple, because MD games come in nice plastic clamshell boxes that survive the test of time. While SNES games come in easy to destroy card board boxes. This is why it's much easier to find MD games in good condition than SNES games.

Ah yeah! Simple when you put it like that. I've only got about 12 games on the snes, found a fella that sells them for £3 unboxed so not bad!
I'd love a 32x and mega cd next

I got a 32X recently and I've gotten what are considered the better games for it.  I'm quite happy with my selection.  :)

How much should I pay for a 32x?
What games are good on it? I never had one as a kid, only had the cd

I paid $35 for mine (I'm in the US) with most of the cables, including the power cord.  If you can get a CIB one, it may be worth it as I had to spend extra money on the stuff that was missing.  Insofar as the games, you can see what I have here:  TrekMD's Collection (//http).  Those seven games are all good.  I'm waiting on a couple more and I'll be adding reviews to these in the next few days.

Not sure what they go for these days but most of the games I have played on it are good - After Burner, Space Harrier, Star Wars, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter etc.

I would really like to try out Shadow Squadron, Metal Head and Zaxxon Mother base though because they look great.

Thanks for the recommendations, got to say I'm loving owning all the old consoles I once had and some new stuff!
I'll keep my eyes open for a 32x.
I'm after getting star fox assault for the gamecube, but one question, whys it so expensive?
I've just bought streets of rage 2 boxed for the MD

Cheers appreciate that! Yeah I'm not out of there for long! Just to grab some food lol I need a beer fridge!
I've been waiting a year for the house, I kept collecting and half of what I had was in boxes under a bed! So I'm happy it's all out and displayed now

Sweet collection! I really like the handheld display with the figures, a very nice visual touch, and it makes the consoles stand out.

Of all the games on display for some reason my eyes were drawn to Zool on the Megadrive. A lesser known platformer that I used to love playing on the Amiga. (Before I lost the code wheel)

MVL.
