I assume this is for the Commodore bud? Not being an avid computer collector i am slightly behind on this.

yep, sorry It is, I have been looking for a sid chip for my Mates C64, and found this site. It seems there are fake Sid chips doing the rounds so I am very wary to get one solus.

The SID chip in my C64 is a duffer and I've been casually keeping my eye open for a replacement. Then I see this!
After having a quick look around the web I came across the Nano swinSID too which looks ideal for what I'd use it for.

So, has anybody tried these swinSIDs at all? Especially the Nano?

the idear itself is great. I monitored this project a while as the concept itself could be easily adopted for other replacement chips as well.
