hang on where is the news? I read a page about the game but it was just talking about the games production ending... am I being blind/dumb? That's not beyond the realms of possibility btw lol

I guess you somehow missed this bit then:
COF files are the native file format the Jaguar uses, here he is talking about trying them via emulation to see if they work. Then he mentions creating a build of the latest version he has to see if its complete enough to release.

oh ok, I guess I just figured that all that info as I read it was from quite a while ago, there's nothing that indicates that its a recent development though I guess I could've missed a date or something somewhere, I'm guessing he's hoping someone with more jag knowledge will be able to make something out of what hes got, which will be good

yeah I noticed the perspective on the buildings as they moved by change it looked very cool, would love to get a hold of a few levels

Kinda reminds me of the first 2 Grand Theft Auto games - they also used 3D polygon backgrounds with 2D rendered sprites on top.

Can't say I'm too impressed with that...the above view isnt the best and that level looked pretty boring, i know its a demo, but the video was making me nauseous!

The perspective does seem to hide things you need to shoot and not being able to shoot up and down doesn't help.

Well, its possible Carl could pick it up and finish if DML wants to let him do so, but something makes me think that the original programmer handing over source to a game they started but never completed a vision on and having someone else finish it might not sit well. I know if it were my project i would want it to be finished the way i had envisioned it originally. Its possible DML might be at a point where he doesnt care soo much about it anymore.
