The new venue had opened in May and I finally got time to visit. Its location is just off Kirkstall Road -
Abbey Retail Park, Savins Mill Way, Leeds LS5 3RP

I went on Saturday with a mate and my daughter. It kind of took me back that an Arcade could sit in a retail park and the place was buzzing. Load of 40+ Males (Like me) but loads of Kids, Families and groups of females enjoying their gaming.

The venue is on 3 stories.

Ground Floor has Sega Racers, Modern Arcade games, a few Pinball Games, Rhythm Games etc.

The Mezzanine is the second floor. This is filled with classic games from the 70's, 80's and 90's.

Third Floor has a Minecraft/Fortnite area, chill out areas filled with modern consoles and VR kits.

I’ve got a few more pics but not sure on the best way of hosting them atm.

Definitely close enough for me to go regularly.

General Retro Chat / Colecovision Pal console - Av mod
August 07, 2017, 15:44:05 PM
It looks like I've acquired a pal Colecovision with wheel and 8 plus games.

I hate RF output so will probably do a composite video mod. It looks straight forward with a mod kit as the solder pads look easy enough to mount too. Anyone else do it? Pic will be posted once it arrives.

Atari Chat / Atari 7800 composite mod - PAL
August 20, 2016, 11:03:22 AM
I've been after installing an AV mod one of my Atari's for a while, So I picked up a small mod from @futureis8bit. I follow the guy on twitter and he sells and manufacturers some amazing Commodore/Sinclair/Atari bits including the sd2iec commodore flash cart. The good thing about the site and twitter is there's pictures and support either from the website or directly from twitter.

https://www.thefuturewas8bit.com/shop/atari.html

The mod will work with PAL VCS, 2600 and 7800 Machines. I also know hes also after someone testing it on an NTSC machine. I had the choice of installing it on my Woody, 2600 Junior or 7800 but as someone said on here the 7800 is the best of both worlds with 7800 and 2600 support.

It comes as a £7 bare board, but I cheated and had the per-soldered cabled one for another £7. I'm not the most accomplished with a soldering iron but I successfully installed in into my 7800 and had the joys of playing 7800 and 2600 titles without using RF.

Ive added the links to the guys twitter and website, I hope that's OK.

I got one of these yesterday, its pretty much a really fancy Vic20 ram expansion that's also got cartridge images built in and linked functionality with the SD2IEC SD flash reader. The item was only officially released on Saturday and once I saw it on Twitter I paid for it immediately. Ive added the link to the designer of the cartridge below. Ive just got a HD PVR2 which i'm hoping to upload some Vic 20 game-play videos to YouTube. The Vic20 is seen as an under powered machine but some of the games are amazing.

As I was one of the first to buy this version the designer ask what cart images I wanted on the final rom - amazing service TBH.

Atari Chat / Jaguar SD cart
May 13, 2016, 18:35:53 PM
Is there an definitive SD cart for the Jag?

I have seen people using "Prototype" carts to switch between games and the odd SD/Flash based cart. I love real carts but most are rare in the UK, The Jag CD is even rarer so an option is to get a "Everdrive" type cart for the Jag would be nice. Also there's quite a bit of home-brew around for the Jag too it seems.

Theres plenty of Jaguar knowledge on this forum so I though I would just straight out ask. Thanks.
