Posting about the Atari 7800 and it dawned on me. I do not remember any early console having a mascot. Atari? Intellivision? Collecovision? or Odyssey 2?

Intellivision had the running man but was he a mascot? Odyssey 2 had K.C Munchkin but it was more famous for being a better Pac-Man does that count? Colecovision is anyone's guess.

Were there any mascots?

Thoughts, comments or am I just thinking to hard? :P ;D

Both include bonus unlockables: commercials and the various patches that Activision awarded.
Both have an 80's soundtrack.

Playstation 2 version has a few extra games like Baseball, Commando, Title Match Wrestling and Tomcat: F14 Flight Simulator.

PSP version overcomes any shortfalls in being vey button friendly. Even Decathlon was a breeze to play.

Two similar games only just a little different in size.

Retro News & Chat / Plug and Play Systems
December 13, 2012, 15:44:06 PM
Some really neat plug and play units have been released over the years. I wish I had bought more of them.

Anyone else own any? Anyone else even enjoy playing plug & plays?

I have an old Sega strategy game guide that had some tricks you could use with swapping out Genesis/Mega Drive games. I have never tried it and they warn you that it can damage the system. Just curious if anyone else had ever given it a shot.

It seems you take one cart and swap with another then you can get unlimited lives or other extras.

I was wondering if anyone knows much about the Game Guru for the 3DO.

It seems to be some kind of cheat device? If anyone has any information?

Thanks!

Retro News & Chat / What Hidden Games do you know?
September 08, 2012, 05:28:37 AM
I was curious what games had hidden games?

In another thread Laird brought up Pitfall the original game being hidden in the Jaguar version of Pitfall.

I know Arnold Palmer Golf for the Genesis/Mega Drive had a hidden game.
Pac-Man 2 for the Genesis/Mega Drive and Super Nintendo had the arcade versions of Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man you could play.

Anyone else know some hidden games and what system?

I only have the Super Nes version of Alien vs Predator. Seeing that unreleased Lynx video made me think of the Jaguar version.

I rented a Jaguar in the 90's and played AvP. I thought the game was amazing then and was wondering if it still held up today? Is the game worth it to track down not just to own but to play?

Retro News & Chat / Multi Dreamcast emulators

Using the extensive tools of the internet I made a couple of multi emulators discs for the Dreamcast.

Are there any current sites that are still active to get new updated emulators?
