Hey dudes,

Testing something new out on the channel today, I'm gonna be doing some one off episodes of games. More of a fun taster of a game that can be done and dusted in one go

Tonight is Pilotwings, I'd love some feedback on what you think

They'll claim stuff almost 100% sure, but tbh I don't care, I'm on Youtube to make videos I'm proud of and to play games I love. It's not like you actually get in trouble for it with Youtube, it's just a case of any ad revenue from that video goes to Nintendo but I make nothing anyway  :D

I've done Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario World, every one has been claimed, I'm also in the middle of Ocarina of Time and I'm certain that'll be claimed too, but at least my viewers (and me) are enjoying it.

I hope you enjoy the final episode of this beautiful game

Have no fear though, this is just the beginning of this epic story. We will be starting Shenmue 2 in just a few days time 😀

In the time since I posted this I've already changed my mind from Link to the Past to Ocarina of Time.

I'm gonna be live streaming the latter on Youtube soon so I had a little play around today to make sure it's all working fine etc and oh man is that game amazing!! I forgot how huge a leap it was from the 2D games, it's been SO long since I played it so I just forgot, can't wait to get cracking with it

I'll name some of the greats on Nintendo in terms of franchises and you say which entry in that franchise is the best...

Mario
Zelda
Metroid
Pokemon
Mario Party
Mario Kart
Smash Bros
Donkey Kong

=========================

I'll go...

Mario - Super Mario Sunshine
Zelda - Link to the Past
Metroid - Super Metroid (the only one I've played)
Pokemon - Pokemon Red
Mario Party - Mario Party 9
Mario Kart - Mario Kart Double Dash
Smash Bros - I don't like any of them but included it cos I know it's popular
Donkey Kong - Donkey Kong Country

Would not say the best game ever but its a very special game indeed.

Nice vid btw.

Yeah took a bit of artistic licence with the title lol but to be fair, it does get voted the best game of all time A LOT, but yeah it's very subjective.

I am an absolutely HUGE fan of turn based RPGs though, FF7, Dragon Quest 8, Grandia 2, Skies or Arcadia, I can't get enough of them, so I'm expecting to rate it highly

Episode 2 of just went up actually, where we get a whole new team to fight alongside us, and Marle is doing another disappearing act!

I actually agree with the new rule, despite the fact I have a Youtube channel where I upload daily and so link those videos here. It's easy to say it not after the the rule change but very recently I was feeling bad about the fact I post a lot of my videos here and don't interact as much as I could.

I'll definitely be sticking around both to interact more and post some videos.

One question I have... in this thread people seem to be complaining about new threads opening up all the time for self promo and they should all be in 1 place... but as far as I'm aware there's a section of the forum called Retro Youtube Forum and I have just ONE thread where all of my videos have been posted, I assume that's what others are doing and it seems like that's exactly what the section was designed for...

Has the issue arisen because people are making new threads for each particular video and doing it on all different parts of the forum? Cos that would definitely be very annoying, but I figured the Youtube section of the forum was designed for the purpose most people use it for, and then obviously if you don't wanna watch Youtube videos you'd never go in there and thus never see any self promo.

Hmm, sounds lovely!! I don't usually use bows but you're not the first person to strongly suggest I give them a go for this area.

Is Chrono Trigger the best game ever?

I have no idea, I've never played it before! Come on a journey with me as we complete a full blind playthrough and discover how great it is

Thanks man, I didn't figure it out myself but people told me. The reason I didn't do it myself is cos first time round I kept running right past loads of the statues and nothing happened so I assumed those ones just didn't wake up. God knows what i had to do to get them to notice me

Here's me cracking it anyway and making short work of Drangleic Castle... next up is the Shrine of Amana
which apparently is one of the most horrible areas in all of Dark Souls games so that should be fun!

The first game in the series is actually Shining in the Darkness, and it's a dungeon crawler. After that they released Shining Force, which is a strategy RPG. Both good but very different games. Both have sequels though, so if you want the strategy style game then stick to the Force games. I've only played the first two games but I think they're all supposed to be pretty solid.

Ah cool, I didnt know that although I do like dungeon crawlers. I was thinking of the strategy RPG one though, I absolutely love that, so it's definitely the Force games I'm after. So all the force ones are the same style of like turn based fighting on a battle map thing? I've never seen another game that uses that system.

Sega Chat / Shining Force Sequels

So I'm a HUGE fan of Shining Force, probably my favourite MegaDrive game of all time but I never played any of the sequels at the time (or ever)...

Are they as good as the first one? Are they the same format/battle style? Do you think I'll enjoy them as much as the first?

Sega Chat / Re: How we all feeling about Shenmue 3?

I absolutely can't wait, I know the hype amongst fans is extremely high so it's hard to deliver on that but for me the game is SO much about the story, so even if parts of the gameplay are lacking I'm just so eager to find out how the story unfolds

The hype is real about Shenmue 1 and 2 remasters

My playthrough is a modded HD and true widescreen experience similar to what we're likely to see for the remasters

Here is the latest episode where we get to explore Yokosuka Harbor

You getting a feeling of de ja vu?

Yup, I'm calling the Dark Souls experts to give me some help AGAIN! It's not even that the game is hard, I'm just totally lost!!
